Can alcohol cause stomach heat?
I just started getting stomach pains after drinking one bud light seltzer. This happened on 2 different occasions. I wonder if this will be the same from here on out for me with all other carbonated drinks or just that?
I just turned 42 years old and have loved beer my entire life. About a month ago, I started experiencing the same thing that others have described here. I started getting horrible, dull, pain in my abdomen after only having a beer or two. It wasn't that I felt like I was nauseous or that I had to go to the bathroom. It just hurt. It would be so bad that it would wake me up out of a solid sleep and prevent me from going back to sleep. I tried cutting out spicy food, cutting out alcohol altogether, cutting out carbonated beverages altogether, and dropping beer. It seems that carbonated alcohol drinks are the only thing that triggers it. At first I was really worried that I had some kind of an ulcer. Has anyone found a name for this condition?
Just eat enough before you drink those kind of drinks. My stomach hurts like that if I drink soda before eating or if I’m hungry. Once I eat good and let the food go down a bit I can drink Smirnoff or other drinks fine. What I can drink without stomach pain is Beer
Extra gas in your stomach especially if we drink too fast, as well if you have a digestive issues like ibs crhons disease it will cause a trigger and leave you in immense pain, especially vodka ones.
Thank you for shedding some light on this subject.
Anytime I've tried to enjoy a Smirnoff Ice or anything similar I get that gut wrenching pain that sobers me right up!
I'll be talking to my doctor about it.
