CT ABDOMEN AND PELVIS

IMPRESSION:
1. Infiltration of lower abdominal subcutaneous fat with multiple fluid collections, this could represent postoperative seroma,hematoma, or abscess. Recommend clinical correlation.
2. Hysterectomy
3. PROMINENT LEFT AXILLARY LYMPH NODE.


DISCUSSION: Abdomen and pelvis CT with 100 mL Isovue. Comparison 7/27/07. LINITED IMAGING THROUGH THE LUNG BASES SHOWS DEPENDENT ATELECTASIS. THERE IS A PROMINENT LYMPH NODE IN THE LEFT AXILLA MEASURING 1.8 X 1.O CM. The liver, gallbladder, spleen, pancreas, kidneys and adrenal glands are normal. Large and small bowel loops are grossly remarkable. Status post hysterectomy. THERE IS EXTENSIVE INFILTRATION OF THE SUBCUTANEOUS FAT IN THE LOWER ABDOMEN WITH TWO FLUID COLLECTIONS, ON THE LEFT MEASURING 4.7 X 5.1 cm AND A SMALLER ONE ON THE RIGHT MEASURING 3 X 1.5 cm. These could represent postoperative seroma,hematoma, or abscess. Recommend clinical correlation with clinical history. THERE IS DISASTASES OF THE RECTUS ABDOMINALIS MUSCLES INFERIORLY. NO OSSEOUS ABNORMALITIES.

ALSO SOME AREAS I HAVE TYPED IN CAPS SEEM TO WORRY ME BUT I WANT TO MAKE SURE I UNDERSTAND IT CORRECTLY! PLEASE IF YOU CAN HELP! I AM A 23 YR OLD FEMALE WHO JUST HAD A HYSTERECTOMY AND MEDICAL PROBLEMS SEEM TO KEEP COMING AT ME! THANKS AGAIN! ~~~~~>STEPHANIE

You have fluid collecting inside your abdomen. not sure how recent your hysterectomy was, you are pretty young to have had one. but it looks like there are some BENIGN, not cancerous, collections of fluid which can be drained, or maybe are infections, either way you need to have antibiotics. but this is not cancer, it appears.
