Hello, I have cataract and it looks like it was formed because of the physical trauma. I am a soccer player and from time to time I get hit in the head. Now, I will probably have to go to a surgery and I guess I would like to know something more about the procedure itself and post op period. Will I be able to return to the field soon?
Well, you have to know that it depends a lot on the damage your eyes have sustained, the type of procedure that will be used to deal with your condition and at the end, the efficacy of that procedure. The post op period might last very short, but I am not so sure when will the club doctor allow you to enter the field.

Hi there,
Unfortunately this is possible. Cataracts can form from the injuries to the eyes and I think that in your case this is the main cause. The good this is that there is a treatment for this. I think that mild cataracts may be treated with eye drops but if this has prolonged you will need to have a surgery in order to fix this problem with your eyes. Do you have any blurred vision and do you have excessive tears in your eyes? Also you may try to wear glasses in order to see if they can help with the vision. I hope this helped a bit.

Best wishes,
Marco
