Son had heart attack 5 years ago at age 34. He was stented in one large artery with 3 stents and in a small artery once and it collaped and they stented again and it did same thing. Artery is too small for a stent to hold it open. Cardiologist said they want the artery to close itself and when that happens, the blood will reroute and the pain will go away. Still, going at age 40 and through all those years, he experiences contant pain but tolerable. A lot of times and more lately the pain travels from center chest to middle of lower teeth but with great intensity and more pain. He had another heart cath in Feb 2015 this year and all stents in large artery are perfect but the one from 5 years ago is now at 97% closed. Dr. doesnt feel that this pain is originating from a cardiology perspective. He feels there is something else causing the pain. His teeth are perfect but my question is, could it be spasticity pushing against the stents that are trying to hold that large artery open because he has been diagnosed with spasticity and is in a wheelchair. If not, what else could cause this type of pain?
