STATINS are know to cause muscle weakness and fall due to the drug. My husband is a cardiac patient and had to be taken off his common statin and moved to atorvastin. Also he had to have surgery for blocks in the leg artery. After stint placement he has no more pain, leg weakenss or fatique. you may want to talk to a vascular provider.
Tom can you call me I would love to ask some questions about you're symtoms because the same things i have going on since my surgery almost 3 months ago.
Thank You Kareem

Hi, my name is Christina im 45 years old and was diagnosed 8 years ago at 37 with disc degenerative disease through my entire spine cervical, thoracic, lumber with sponglous. When diagnosed i had buldging disc at T11, T12 L4 and L5. I was honorably retired from the military and everything listed as service connected with a 70% disability rating. Recently i woke up in no pain but completly numb from under my right rib cage to mid section around right back mid section fully down my right leg and foot. I was able to walk but walked weird. I thought my leg was asleep and would wake up soon. Needless to day 3 days went by like that and i finally called my doctor i was sent to the er to check for blood clots nothing found and was told see my doctor on monday. While at my doctors he checked me out and mu bp was high and heart rate 118. Im sure from nerves he sent me back to er stat and called the doctor there and told him what test to order. They ordered a lot of test then told me they had to send me to another hospital a hour away. But wouldnt tell me why. When i got there they put me in a room to watch for stroke and called in a neurologist at first he thought MS and want to do a complete MRI and CT of my head and my entire body looking for lesons. He came back after the test and they used dye thank god! Anyways he ruled out MS but told me he had to call a speciality doctor in numerology who is o e of the best surgens in the state of illinois. I asked whats wrong and he said he will explain when he gets here. Well when he arrived he showed my husband and me the scans at c5 my disc was completely hernated out and compressed and caused severe narrowing of the spinal cord, sponglous, stenois, through c5, c6, c7 with what looked to be a tumor on C7 close to the spinal cord. He assured us itcwas not a tumor and surgery was needed asap or the same thing would happen to my left side and left leg. We schduled sergery and he placed a cadavor bone, removed the diseased disc and a tiatium plate and screws. The surgery was on march 8th, 2018. Today is March 23, 2018 i still have no sensation to my right side, my right leg, my foot. I can move my arms, my left leg but nothing from under my right rib atea down my right leg. Im now using a walker and wheelchair and home care and physical theriapy. The only answer i get is it could take a year to get some sensation back or i may not ever get sensation back. All of this from a cervical spine disc hernation that i never felt happen. I dont think i will ever get it back at this point and its left me in a really depressed state. Im doing everything the doctors have said to do. But knowing that i have this disease throughout myentire spine leaves me wondering how many more surgerys will i need and will i lose more fuction and mobility. Anyways if anyone has something positive to share please do. 45 home and lost
I would like to know how everyone is doing who posted here last year. I also had posterior cervical decompression and fusion for leg weakness numbness and tingling x 2 months ago without any relief of symptoms. I had C5-C6. Severe stenosis. Surgery went well, and neck pain from surgery was minimal. Now have neuropathy in feet. Pain with walking. Muscle twitches and tingling all over. Very discouraged.
Hi Ravi I've had snumbness in my right sidecmy leg doesn't walk properly and my right arm is numb as are the fingers I can usecmy hand for most things but been away fro work four weeks in hospitals and having scans lumber puncture and need more scams then hopefully an operation its just a weird feel do you agree things you did all your life then all in the blink of an eye you can't have you had any treatment yet
I had c3-c4 anterior discectomy and fusion. You can get an artificial disk these days. I got brown siquard syndrome. Right side motor sensory loss and left side pain and thermal sensation loss. It was all caused by cervical disc. The higher the compression the more caos it causes in your body.
