I had a chalazion for three months before I went and got the courage to do the surgery. I had the surgery 12 days ago. I went to an oculoplatic surgeon.  He removed it from the outside, told me it was successfully drained, his nurses applied pressure and they sent me away with a prescription for Tobramycin and Dexomethosone eye drops 4x a day first week then tapper off to 2 x a week for the second week. I really didn't get much more instructions and I left the office swollen and confused as to how to care for this thing. I researched for those answers. When I got in the car and looked at my eye I still saw the bump which had me worried. The cut in which he drained it was next to the bump.  The next day it seemed the bump was smaller and the eye was getting less swollen as well. As the eye healed I am still able to feel and see the original bump in certain light. Most people tell me I looked healed completely, but I still feel the bump as it was in its original state and I can see it in certain light. It also seems to fill up worse at night and looks bigger as the day goes on than it does when I wake up. My question is, is this normal? It has only been 12 days! I go for my follow up next week. I am worried I will have to undergo that surgery again, which I am terrified to do. I am reading that many people that went through this surgery have the same bump after surgery but they don't come back after to followup on how they have healed, or if they needed another surgery.  Please ANYONE who went through this, please ease my mind and tell me how you fared 4-6 weeks after surgery or a year later.. WILL THIS BUMP GO AWAY FINALLY..  I am going mad?

Help!

nobody can help????

Chalazion Surgery: Do I need to bring a letter confirming my operation on the day? When did you first come to the place? Do they check your name on a computer? Or do you need to bring a note/letter that they sent you? I have it in a few days, so please reply.
