Hi. I have a 28 day cycle; my last period started on 04/16 and ended on 04/20. I had unprotected sex on 04/28, which would have been my thirteenth day. The day after on 04/29 I had sex, I was very flushed with warmth (it felt similar to a fever), had slight cramping in the middle lower part of my abdomen, and I was more tired than usual. The next day on 04/30 I was still flushed but not as badly, I was still very tired, and had slight cramping (almost a light throb, but it wasn't painful) on the left side of my lower abdomen when I went to bed. Today on 04/31 I was still tired, had slight flushing, headache and no cramps but feeling very bloated. My boyfriend told me he pulled out before he had, but I'm still concerned that some of his sperm may have gotten into me. Online I have read that around the fourteenth day is your most fertile time. Is it possible to be showing symptoms this early? This was my first time to have sex, if that helps at all. Thank you so much for any feedback.
Hi Marie,
Lets get the dates right first. You mean May, month 5 right? You refer to today as 4/31 but it's a new post. You had sex on 5/28 then?
It's very early to show ANY signs of pregnancy. In fact, even if you were to conceive you may not yet be pregnant. It is not instantaneous. Sperm can live up to 5 days and the egg 48 hours after ovulation.
The cramping is likely from having sex. The other symptoms, headache, tired, and flushing are not specific enough to say you're pregnant.
You can get pregnant the first time you have sex and yes, you'd be near peak fertility.
If he pulled out then it is unlikely you are pregnant. Even if there was precum, if he hadn't ejaculated yet then it likely did NOT contain sperm.
Chances are slight, but not impossible.
If your next period is late take a home pregnancy test. Follow all directions carefully.
For now, tell your boyfriend to wear a condom. Please use some birth control.
