my x-ray result is suspicious ill-defined hazy opacities noted in the right lung apex. For correlation with apicolordotic view. Heart is not enlarged. Other chest structures are intact. What does it meanS?
Hi AlS,
Normally, lung tissue doesn't show up well on the x-ray. Hazy opacities means that the tissue is denser than normal. It could be fluid or scarring from an infection. Sometimes though, the angle of the x-ray isn't "good enough" to determine what they're seeing.
The apicolordotic view is just another x-ray from a different angle. It focuses on the tops of the lung - the right lung apex is the top of the right lung.
You need the other x-ray for starters.
