So I recently found out from my dr. that i have both a yest infection and another form of bacteria in my vagina.  My doctor ad prescribed me on clindamycin phosphate and all of a sudden today i had a clear discharge. Not sure what it was I started researching online as to what the discharge was.  All that came up was that I was ovulating. I'm not sure about that either cause I also have an cyst on my right ovary.  Sadly I am too afraid to ask my doctor cause he seems to talk to me more about my other family members than what is going on in my appointment. So here I am asking for any suggestions, I wouldn't mind becoming pregnant as that is both mine and my husbands goal is to have another child, all answers will help.

Thanks:)

You need to see a different doctor. Clindamycin is not used to treat yeast infections as yeast isn't a bacteria. I can understand why he might prescribe it for the "other" bacterial infection though but it isn't going to cure the yeast infection. That needs to be treated with an antifungal. The most common used are Clotrimazole, Fluconazole, and Terconazole. This is a short list but are the most commonly used. They are topical (intra-vaginal) medications except Fluconazole. It comes in a single dose oral tablet if that is preferred and is known by the trade name Diflucan. Have to do that to clear up the yeast. Clindamycin could also make the yeast infection worse by throwing off the number of good bacteria in your vagina. I recommend seeing a different doctor asap!

thank you!!! I forgot to mention that for the yeast infection I did take a pill one dosage of it too. He said it was to help me get rid of the yeast but that makes sense. So Is the discharge something I should be worried about?

In that case he probably gave you the single dose Diflucan (fluconazole) as I mentioned before or something similar. Given that I would say the discharge is normal considering there is active infection, however if it continues for longer than a week you need to go back to the doc for a follow up.
