Well, I have the same problem as well. My boy friend is always complaining that I'm cold. He likes it some times because he has a warm body temperature. I really wish there was some way that I could find out what is making this happen. I've had this problem for about 7 years now and I'm only 16 years old. Would anyone have any suggestions on how to stay warm. My boyfriend does his best at trying to keep me warm, but when he's on the soccer field and I'm not he's always worying so he's always distracted. I really hope there is someone out there that can help me thanks so much for reading this.!!!

I definitely know what you're going through! I'm 15, and have always had cold hands and feet.. when I touch people or friends, they often gasp or have panicked/shocked looks. They often refer to my hands as "ice". Remember the Twilight period when everyone was obsessed with it? I'd often be compared to as a vampire as a joke. Nice, right?.. *cough cough*..

According to my parents, on my mom's side there's a history of bad circulation--she said it was never really serious stuff and not to worry about it. Sometimes my hands will have a reddish, blueish, or purplish colouring. Also, when come into contact with heat, my hands and feet will feel like they're "defrosting". It's a weird sensation, though usually I'm not bothered by it. Anything using fine motor skills though, like playing my violin or writing.. anything like that, I HAVE to warm up my hands somehow. That usually means I have a friend warm my hands in theirs, or constantly rub my hands on my arms, jeans, whatever. Even put my hands on my neck, though I hate doing that. It's like a shock to my system, and shivers run up and down my body. Oh and putting them under hot water doesn't really do much.. if anything they feel stiffer.

I like temperatures that are "freezing" to people. I actually love winter, it's my favourite! It doesn't take long for me to feel comfortable and nice on a skating rink or the beginnings of winter. I can shed my sweater or coat in less than about 5-10 minutes; and that's not going to say you'll obviously get some funny looks and the "you must be crazy!" line from friends who are shivering in their mittens, coats and tuques. Also in the winter there's a huge battle of the house temperature. The rest of my family likes it all warm and cozy, which for me means I burn up and have to hide inside my room with every window open. I never win at that game.

Basically in conclusion, I'm saying there's people out there who deal with the same or similar problem like you, don't worry :) Just be careful for frostbite and such.. I get it easily and it's NOT fun!

To all you whinging kids - there's NOTHING WRONG WITH YOU! It's called being human. It's your body's defence to prevent your core getting cold by diverting blood away from hands /feet. IT'S NORMAL!!!!!

Im 12, and everytime I get into my car after soccer practice, my hands feel like they are on fire!! I sometimes even scream and cry in pain. Then after, the start to go tingly and then im fine. the same things happen with my toes.

Okay, Here's something that works for me, if you dont think you have Renauds. I stand in an open area and "windmill" one of my arms until I feel pins and needles, and then stop. This helps force the blood into your extremedies, warming up your hands, and helping blood get through a spot where it might be having trouble. My hand usually itches for a few seconds, and then it goes away. Try it.

hi. ive just been diagnosed with raynaud's. and it sounds like many of you are suffering with it to. at the moment im wearing several layers of clothes on including gloves and a scarf whilst sitting in my living room!!! my son is quite happy sitting in a t-shirt. i have a hot water bottle sitting on my toes however i cant feel any heat of it as my toes are like ice blocks. they are starting to turn 'bearably cold' but will never feel warm. my hands go through the same thing as does my whole body causing painful aches in my joints. unfortunately there is no cure for it and u just have to put up with it.....im guessing most of you are from america? im from scotland and our hottest day for a good 6 months has been 12 degrees which was a one of and is usually around the 5 degree mark. I WANNA CRY!!!! my advice is to wear gloves and thick socks always and keep motivated. goodluck guys xx

I'm a 36 year old woman and I've always had very cold hands, feet, ears and nose in cold or normal weather. Often, hot weather or a hot shower make my feet swell up and get itchy and red. I hate it! glad to know it's probably just poor circulation and not imminent death.

Hi guys! Although a little older - early twenties I have the same problem, freezing cold numb hands!! My fingers are swollen and I have some red bemishes/spots around the knuckles. I did go to the doctor and I was told it was probably Raynauds disease. In the last few weeks they are worse than ever and I find the joints in my fingers are particularly painful after I type, tie my shoelaces, wash my hair etc. I would be very active and participate in sports almost every day, eat healthy foods and drink lots of water and if anything am underweight. From what other people are saying I'm wondering could the two be linked? Has anyone found any proven remedies?

But to some it could signal/lead to other problems such as numbness in the arms and thus losing the mobility of arms/hands. Just because they're kids does not mean it isn't serious, not saying that all the time it is, but a proportion of the time it is.

90% of the time, ED has to do with poor circulation. So, they may go hand in hand. My friend has ED and he complains of the same problems with cold extremities.

I also have some serious problems with my circulation. 1 night my hands and feet will be so red, swollen, and throbbing I just wanna poke my feet wit a needle to release them.  Other times hands and feet get purple then turns into white.  When the parts are white I also have no feeling in them.  Really strange when your foot is all red and/or purple but 2-3 different toes are white and numb and it crawls up your foot. Does any one know why this is???

Hey all, you may not believe me...i am 15 years of age, male. Its simple: lemme ask you a question. Do you masturbate? if you do, that is most definitely probably the reason. In ancient china, over 5000 years of medical studying, we call something"shen" qi. It is an invisible force of energy that is within one of ur organs, (i forgot which 1), but sleeping early, eating right and healthy and not too heavy tasting foods is good for you. Masturbation, releasing sperm in an abnormal way, or rate, think about it...is it really just relaxing urself? or do u think it goes against nature and there is a downside? well, there is a downside. Western doctors and Chinese doctors are different, no offence, but we have more knowledge. Western: Cut it off, take some pills, drugs. Chinese: Medical herbs, get some sleep, stop playing video games, excercise alot more etc.

I am a 25 year old female who developed red/cold hands after I.V. drug use, but it has stayed though I have been clean over a year. My fingers are always red and swollen; my fingers get red, my knuckles blue/purple, where my finger meets my nail on top it's swollen, and sometimes I get extremely bright red dots/splotches on my hands. My hands are as cold as ice, literally, and nothing helps except for being in the constant sunshine.

I am sure there has got to be a solution for what we have; and it isn't Raynaud's, possibly bad circulation since my veins have collapsed, however, I show the same symptoms as people who do not/have not used needles.

Why does it seem no one knows what this is?
