I recently had a colonoscopy and my doctor removed a polyp for biopsy and did 3 biopsies on my mucosa in the sigmoid colon.

Question:

Is there supposed to be mucosa in the colon? I have bloody BM's and sometimes accompanied by mucos.

Should I be worried about a lot of blood 2 days after the procedure? It is under control right now, but earlier their was a toilet bowl full of blood.
