i take a 125 mg of synthroid a day. i also started taking 150mcg of kelp a day. is it safe. i read in a health book it would help. is that true or false?
I have heard a lot of different things about kelp, but what I have seen is better. I have a friend who was told to initiate drugs for hypothyroidism and she opted for something a little less synthetic and a bit more natural, enter Kelp. She started taking kelp with great results. After about three weeks she noticed a significant change in her energy level and she started losing some weight as well. Everybody is different and body types and chemistry do vary. As with anything, check with your doctor before taking the kelp. Although, my friend consulted her doctor before taking the kelp and he had never heard of taking it for anything before, told her it was an old wives take or some eastern Asian culture remedy. The jury is still out.
