I would like to add that using a laundry drying rack in the winter is a great way to add moisture back in to the air. Many of us end up relying on a humidifer. This is a much more natural solution and saves us money.

I hadn't considered how much energy my TV uses since I leave it on all the time but yeah, I bet I could save a lot of money by not using it. I have saved a ton of money this summer by running only fans this year though. It was a little hot at times, but I managed. There really was only one week when it was intolerable, and that's it.

I have one good tip for getting cool. Try putting a bowl of ice cubes in front of a fan. It makes the room much colder and it feels wonderful. It helped get me through a lot of hot nights at home!

Well you can use tips on how to stay warm over the winter. I always wear a sweater to bed so that I can keep the heat off overnight. I found that sleeping in the cold is good for fighting off illness too--after all, the reason why we get sick in winter is because bacteria thrive in warm environments!
