Thanks crazypeter, this is not easy to navigate - too much going on. I sent some msgs but they are still sat in outbox.
OIM I know you are suffering now but I would be very careful of doing anything more in terms of surgery/ injections. Depending on the level of pain you are in and how long ago you had the surgery, remember that you are under a high level of stress and depression and it is impossible to make clear decisions in this state.
If you have any other questions, feel free to ask. i would also highly recommend doing the procedure locally – you might want to see your docs without having to travel long-distance.
please contact me i really need more info about your surgery i really need to know if it is worth it. right now i cant feel my husband. i have child but that was a c-section. i have had sex with only two men. first was large -with him for several years-, my husband is small have been with him for 13 years. at this time i can only afford either vaginal reg. or labia reduction. which one is more bennificail. i really want better sex and i cant feel him which really sucks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi all - is there anyone out there who has suffered this op and tried to sue the surgeon ?
I would love to hear from you.
Anyone with the same symptoms - dryness, neuralgic pain, pain from scar tissue ?
Again I would love to hear from you.

Ok I am considering labiaplasty...I understand you re worried (I am too about having it done)...maybe these pics will reassure you. You said its been 10 days, it look as though what you're feeling or experiencing is normal...i dont know but...
I havent been aware that I having a "meaty" labia majora is a big deal to some. I didnt know that some have to undergo surgery to have it reduced in size. My concern is what is the difference between large labia from that of a mere slit in relation to sex? For men, would they prefer having sex with ladies with large labia or would they rather have it with lady without any labia protruding? For me, I believe it is not in the appearance, it is in the sensation it gives to the owner of the labia and the partner enjoying the labia, protruding or not. Am i correct? I need opinions from the gentlemen because I am now sexually active and my partner thinks I have a different make up of a fleshy meaty labia.
hi can you tell me which surgeon you choose? I want to get it done too!
Hello Loulou,
I also had a similar experience and was curious to find out how you are doing now as this post is from 2007. I had labiaplasty with a plastic surgeon who told me he had a lot of experience and that all of the women he had operated on were happy with the results. I don't believe this. He ended up cutting off my right labia completely, leaving some of my left and made big unnecessary cuts all the way into my vagina. The gynaecologist who saw me one year later could not say I looked normal and thought that the surgeon had destroyed my glands. I have since had a reconstruction with Dr Alter (spent all of my savings to see him) and although he has done the most incredible job, I still have scars which look like lots of folds and feel rough and hard. I have not had a relationship for 4 years because of how I feel down there. I do not know what to do to get rid of the scarring. What did you do in the end? I would love to hear from you. I also went through what you described - I truly wanted to die. I also had an amazing sex life until this happened.
Look forward to hearing from you and any other women who have had similar experiences. I never thought I would be one of those horror stories, especially as this surgeon is a lecturer at a university and has apparently done hundreds of labiaplasty ops.
Thanks

What was her name ?
I had labiaplasty done 3 days ago. I have wanted to do it since my teenage years, bit after childbirth mine got even worse, and I started to do research on the topic 10 years ago or so. I was finally at a stage where I was very comfortable with my decision, and I decided to go with a plastic surgeon with very good reputation. In fact, she was doing 3 in the same day.
I was under local anesthesia. The procedure was done in 40 min from surgon start to end time. I checked into hospital at 9 am and walked out at 11 am. I was given a cream to numb vaginal area when I arrived hospital. I did not feel the local anesthesia at all. I was very comfortable during the entire procedure. I had the "V" cut done.
I went to lunch with my husband right after I got out. I took one pain killer ( subscription) when I got home. I took another one at night time as I could feel the pain coming on again. I was not trying to be a hero. I have since then not needed ANY painkillers.
Day 1 after surgery my vagina was pretty blue and swollen. I stayed in bed most of the day with ice packs to work on swelling. I wanted area to heal and get rest. It was not for pain reasons. I am on Day 2 after surgery now, and I have been up and moving around. The area is much less swollen today already.
I only had bleeding the first and second day. No bleeding today. I am wearing just underwear. I am still icing the area every few hours. I am planning on going to a movie with my family today. It will not be a problem :))))
Overall, I am thrilled that this is behind me. I will give it time to heal, and be good to myself. Trying not to do too many activities. Tomorrow, I will be back on normal schedule. Driving, and ony feet.
I will check in again to give update on healing process and end results.
