They have a distance program -- I'm on it as I live 2 hours from the closest clinic -- have to lose a minimum of two pounds per week and have someone approved to give you your shots or ask to be approved yourself. So long as I make my weekly goal I only go in once per week and then I give myself the other two shots.

I got a tax receipt from the clinic for my shots -- it goes under medical expenses. Also, its a bit cheaper for an 8 week package -- $1123 for the 8 weeks vs $600 for 4 weeks of shots.

din is drug identification number and is usually in the top left corner of the drug label. All regulated medications in canada must have this to be approved and is required for insurance companies when putting a claim in. Natural health products do not require a DIN.

I did it in 2010 for 30 days no maintenance, I did not follow their diet I kept eating whatever I wanted, I lost 25 lbs on the program and droppee another 5 in the following two weeks.... I kept it off for almost two years, when I decided I wanted to get healthy and work out.... About 3 months into that I broke my ankle and no longer could go to the gym.. It's been a year I'm back up 25lbs... :(

I gained all the weight back plus. Most people do as you are starving your body. Once you stop the shots that stop cravings they return. You eat and eat and eat. It only takes a few weeks to put it all back on.

I live in Vancouver and did Dr. B last year at the West Broadway clinic. It was about $150 a week from what I remember, and you can purchase a week at a time. I did it for 2 months and lost at least 20 lbs. I wasn't as strict with my diet as I could have been and I didn't exercise. I had a good amount of energy though, and I enjoyed the quick results. Unfortunately, the quick results led me to decide I could stop paying Dr B and keep going on the healthy route all by myself. I immediately went back to lots of takeout, not bringing my own lunches to work, etc. I gained the weight back, and then gained even more than I weighed when I started the program. I had heard all the horror stories about people gaining back double the amount after doing dr b, but I thought pfft that won't happen to me, i'll NEVER let myself weigh more than i do now! sigh. also lots of people end up with liver issues.. I'm not sure if it's related, but I did find out during a separate abdominal ultrasound that I have a liver hemangioma, which is just a birthmark on the liver, so who knows if it's been there from birth. It was just very coincidental timing. Anyways, I had great success when i stuck to the program, and I think it's worth it if you truly make the commitment to yourself to get HEALTHY rather than just lose the weight. Once I lost the pounds, Iooked great, bought skinny clothes, then started eating total c**p again because i thought i could. Anyways, if I were to do it again, I would probably purchase week to week, as it taught me that I am more disciplined when a time period is shorter (I work well under pressure!). I do not want to do it long term as it's not a sustainable lifestyle/diet for me, however the quick weight loss is great motivation and hopefully if I do it for a couple weeks I'll drop 10-15 lbs and then can commit to a good diet of veggies etc and regular exercise. Above all else, Dr B taught me that nothing beats a clean diet and exercise. It's truly that simple. The Dr B diet is AS CLEAN AS YOU MAKE IT. They will recommend things like fat free kraft singles and other c**p because all calories are the same to them, ie you're allowed a kraft single, but not a carrot because of the net carbs in carrots being high. Just do your research and use common sense about what's truly healthy. But I do recommend it because it's effective. My insurance did not cover it, by the way.

That's pretty much a no brainer any diet requires you to adjust eating habits

All drugs that are registered by the health department and government are required a DIN number. Even toothpaste has an NPN number.

I'm just curious as to how the shots make you less hungry. I get B12 shots all the time...doesn't affect hunger at all. Are you sure you're not imagining this?
