Most recently I have noticed weakness in my arms and that to me was most disconcerting. I was afraid that I might be contracting parkinsons which two of my cousins also have. I am really hoping it is the former and not the later, since at least I can do something about the former.
I had really bad anxiety for years. Medication caused more anxiety. I would get it while driving and was scared to even get in the car. One day I was fed up with it and fought it, because I knew it wasn't going to hurt me. I wasn't going to let it take over my life. My decision was after reading about how it keeps people in there houses and I could see this happening. I talked my way out of many episodes and they eventually slowly went away. Yes, you can control it with your mind. Your mind can do wonderful things. Good Luck!
ps....many anxiety medications cause anxiety
What you said to kootsie was so rude! This board is to post anything a person wants to promote healing from...you think believing in God is ignorant??? Then you are in a world of pain!
I suffered with anxiety a few years ago, I used to work in a call centre and on top of that my diet was really bad and had a low immune system and was stressed with my driving test and everything, it all mounted up and I started feeling dizzy one day at work, which eventually turned into panic attacks and I got really bad numbness in my head, legs, stomach, back etc and bad headaches, heartburn, derealisation, depersonalisation. I still have the numbness now and occasional headaches but no panic attacks. I went on the Linden method website, a guy named Charles Linden from the UK who suffered with anxiety since he was young and cured himself made something called the Linden method, it helped me a bit but you have to do the leg work to help yourself get better. Plus I turned to my religion and prayed a lot so eventually the panic attacks went away. I also used to get acupuncture done and took herbal medication, which helped get rid of some of the symptoms. Counselling doesn't help, it makes you think about the anxiety even more, it's better to talk to people who really care about you like your family. Basically, you need to improve your diet, light exercise, keep doing your normal everyday things but also you need to find something fun to do to keep you occupied throughout the day like painting, drawing, photography, baking cakes etc and nothing too stressful and you'll get there, the panic attacks will eventually go. Just remember, the panic attacks won't kill you, don't let them take over your life.
I have been going through this.but the best way to controll this ,is by concetrating on your breath.have to balance by slowly breathin in out from the nose.and if you see that your arms have started getting weak and energyless, start breathing from the mouth slowly in and out.
