Cracked,Dry,Scabbed Nipples and Im Not Breast Feeding

I have the same issue I am 26 and just recently started noticing the dry skin and itchiness on my breasts. I am going to got to the doctor to get them checked out!

I am only 11 and have had sore nipples for about 3-4 months now... they also appear to be scabbed... I was just wondering should I be worried?

I had great success with Sweet Teets Nipple Stick from Born To Bee. It has alot of natural oils that keeps  the nipples soft and smooth, but it doesn't leave an oily residue behind-it absorbs quickly. It smells good, too, so that's an added benefit. Im 19 years old and have never had this problem up until recently. It started about two days ago and after doing some research i thought, okay either im pregnant or i just have really dry nipples. So i talked to my best friend about it and as it turns out she was having the exact same problem and has never had it up until now either so i got to thinking about it and me and her both went swimming a few nights ago in her pool and earlier that day her dad had put chlorine and whatnot in it and then the next day we both have scabbed, dry, nipples? So as it turns out it was just because we went swimming in a pool with too many chemicals! I doubt this is the case with you girls but i just wanted to share my story because i know you are all probably really freaked out and if its something that keeps reoccuring then you should go to the doctors but if its a one time thing, put some neosporin on them and a bandade or you can buy breast-pads and it should heal in a few days and if it continues to happen after that see a doctor and they will probably prescribe you with a special lotion or something. So dont freak out girls, its most likely an easy fix :)

Is it weird to have this at 12? I mean it is early November now, and my birthday is not until late January... should I worry??? :-)

if there is scabbing or itching it may be a fungal infection, get it checked out because it can last while.

im 18 , i have a 9 month old child , im breastfedd her till 5 months then i quit. ever sinse then my nipples have been dry and craked & they itch like hell! sometimes i get them so red from scrating ugh what can i do? is it cancer?! should i go see a doctor?

I too have this problem, except i am a 18 year old male. They itch like idk what and when i scratch them they hurt like ish and shortly get somewhat wet. They are also somewhat scabby and one they peel rescab. What the heck? I will put lotion on them to see if it helps

yeah twenty three... i think its because my boyfriend bites them... they werent sore or itchy... i didnt even notice them until my man wrapped his hands around my waist and then reached up in to my shirt and squeezed my boobs... then i realised it felt weird and lifted my shirt and noticed they were flaking dry 'skin'

Omg im sooo happy that im not the only one with this problem! I am a dancer and it doesn't help when im wearing thin spandex bodysuits all the time with no bra... talk about megga embarrassing! I am 14 and its not like breast feeding or having guys biting my nipples. They scab then get ichy, so i have to scratch! I hate it!

I've just started having the same problem and I'm 20.
First they dried out, and felt a bit crusty, then the dry skin cracked and started to come away and then after that, there was a tiny amount of bleeding where the skin came away and my clothes started to rub. Now they're really sore, too sore to rub moisturiser on.

I'm not pregnant, nor have I ever been, I'm not breastfeeding.
The only thing I've changed lately is the a new birth control pill I'm taking and I've been using Bio-Oil, helps reduce the stretch marks on my breasts.
Anybody go to a doctor about it? What did they recommend? Or what have you done to cure it?

i too have this problem , it kinda started when i was 13 , now i recently turned 14. i still have it , but seeing the comments above , i think it might be something all females go through ; if you have pain in your boobs it mighy be cause they are growing. otherwise , i put vaseline & it works quickly , also i recomend aveeno lotion it refreshes your nipples & calms the itchyness & the crackedness goes down. hope this helped somewhat (:

OMG I am 12 turning 13 an i have the same problem...wat should i do?

mine are too and im 12. they get itchy and scabbed,

i'm 19 and have had cracked nipples ever since i reached puberty at 12. some times they look worse when i am close to get my period. no idea why.
