Hi, I had severe cramps that come with my period. Last time, they put me to bed for two days. I use aspirin, but it doesn’t always relief my cramps. How do you cope with this problem?

Since I was 15 years old, I’ve been having severe menstrual cramps. They are so strong that they put me to bed every time. They keep me from doing all my daily activities, which bothers me the most. I use advil, which relieves my cramps, but not well enough. Whatever I use, I have to stay in bed for two days. I mentioned this problem to my gynecologist, and she recommended me oral contraceptives. They prevent ovulation, which reduces severity of the cramps. I hope this will help me, because it is my last hope.
