A friend of mine, who is a vet, just told me that it is possible for dogs to come down with cutaneous vasculitis. I didn't know that! Frankly I am wondering if he isn't pulling my leg, so to speak. So I hope you can clear that one up for me. Can dogs get cutaneous vasculitis or not?

My dog is currently in very real danger of death as a result of cutaneous vasculitis. So yes,  they can. Why would a vet pull your leg about the existence of a disorder in dogs that definitely occurs in humans?

I have a friend who's dog has blister like sores in her mouth, open ulcer like sores in her chest, shoulders, and her back neck area. Was told today Vasculitis but wasn't told cutaneous or necrotizing. Does this sound like your dogs symptoms?

I have a rat terrier mix and he has cutaneous vasculitis which he got from a reaction to his rabies shot. I have to give him four different medications, but he has had it for five years and there does not seem to be a total cure for it.
