Checked, the doctor said nothing was wrong. That I have no yeast or anything. So why does it continue to itch and burn? I've been using creams, and special shampoo and nothing is working! I've noticed that I have paper like cuts all around the inside of my vagina. What's wrong with me and what can I do to make it go away?!
why stay away from the baby powder? I've had these similar problems with the cuts, itching, burning, and sometimes powder helps (I use the gold bond). I've also been told to eat yogurt when taking an antibiotic.
Well...I Have Not Been Involved In Any Type Of Sexual Activity Of Any Sort Lately And There Is Scratching Because My Vagina Area And My Bridge Have Become Really Rough. There Are Cuts Everywhere And When I Urine, It Burns Like Hell...I'm A Virgin So It Isn't An STD OR Anything........?
I have been getting this itchy feeling, I can't stop scratching it, and its so bad that skin comes up, and it will start to bleed a little... it started a few months ago, it would start a day or two before my period and go away... and at first it was that it was itchy and burned when I pee, and it was that when my urine touched my lips... that is it... well now it is starting a few days after my period and lasting until my period starts... I haven't had any bleeding after scratching, but its painful, it burns even if I dont touch or scratch.... and now I have little "paper" cuts on the very top part of my lips... I do not have any discharge... no lumps... :( I dont know what is wrong! I go to the doctor friday march 15th... I am hoping its not herpes... :(
You really do need to talk to your mom about this. If it is a yeast infection, a doctor may need to prescribe something. If it makes you feel better, have your mom take you to a female doctor. I'm in my 60's, and still hate being checked out "down there"...I used to count the ceiling tiles, and stuff like that, to distract myself. Sometimes, though, I just chat with the doctor and make jokes...you do whatever you have to. Hope you get some help soon.
For those saying its from oral sex it is mostly likely NOT. It's still considered a yeast infection and it typically is from your body being unbalanced. The only cure for me was to eat yogurt EVERY day or EVERY OTHER and they DISAPPEARED. I tried creams, meds, you name it. Only yogurt worked! Yeast infections do NOT always present themselves with discharge or foul smells. try it and see.
How does eating yogurt help a yeast infection?
Dear Reader,
Although research is limited, there is some evidence that daily ingestion or vaginal application of yogurt containing Lactobacillus acidophilus may help to prevent and treat candidal vaginitis (a.k.a. yeast infections). A study published in the Journal of Obstetric, Gynecologic & Neonatal Nursing (JOGNN) reviewed current research and reported promising but inconclusive results about yogurt as an effective treatment for yeast infections.
The vagina stays healthy and yeast-free through a complex balancing act. Our bodies host lots of different microorganisms, many of which are useful in helping the body take care of business. Normally, these colonies of critters live in harmonious balance with one another. But sometimes this balance can be disrupted, among other things, by stress or the use of prescription antibiotics, causing some of the microorganisms to overpopulate and make a nuisance of themselves. When an imbalance occurs in the vagina, normally occurring colonies of Candida albicans can get out of control, leading to the tell-tale symptoms of a yeast infection: whitish discharge, burning and/or itching, and a yeasty odor (similar to beer or bread).
One of Candida's vaginal neighbors is our friend L. acidophilus, which has the ability to keep the rowdy Candida in check (and thereby prevent yeast infections). Thus, introducing more L. acidophilus to the area when Candida is already out of control can help restore peace to the region. One way L. acidophilus wards off yeast infections is by producing lactic acid, which keeps the vagina's pH level low and inhospitable to Candida.
It just so happens that L. acidophilus can be found in yogurt (as long as the container says "live cultures" on it). One study reviewed in JOGNN showed that eating 8 oz of yogurt daily may prevent Candida uprisings or stop them after they've started. If yogurt isn't your thing, taking L. acidophilus capsules also has been shown to help prevent yeast infections. Another study reviewed in JOGNN showed that applying yogurt directly to the vagina (about one tablespoon via an applicator) can also fight yeast infections. Some women have long recommended this method for yeast infections. In any case, it probably best to use plain, unsweetened yogurt, especially if it's applied topically. Sugar is Candida's favorite food, and according to health professionals at Oregon State University, a healthy diet low in sugar, fats, and processed foods is good first step to a healthy vagina.
Although there's no hard and fast proof that yogurt will always cure a yeast infection, this natural remedy does have several advantages. Yogurt treatments are inexpensive, have a low risk of side effects, and don't encourage bacterial resistance.
If yogurt doesn't do the trick, a health care provider can recommend other treatment options for yeast infections, such as oral or topical anti-fungal medication. But thanks to the friendly bug L. acidophilus, when it comes to yeast infection prevention and treatment, some women might try a trip to the dairy section before a trip to the pharmacy!
you know, it's weird reading these posts. everyone says that it's a yeast infection and it's not a big deal, and sure yeast infections aren't an issue, but i've had this rash as well itchy and what you said, and i went to my doctor thinking it was a yeast infection. She told me it was just cuts and irritation and that i should just take warm baths and let it heal. Yeast infections tend to be a little more than just what you described... so i don't know, but mine was just irritation and like 2 deep cuts (I guess from my razor, or even like a pad and the friction, etc. it adds on to the irritation), but other than that, I was fine!
Cuts will heal themselves, by the way. I'm sure you'll be able to have sex again, but you probably got these cuts because your vagina didn't lubricate itself before.... longer foreplay will do the trick, and you should be fine. So long as there is lubricant, it should prevent you from getting cuts.
Its true wih what everyone here is saying and all the symtoms, iv expirianced first hand. The only time my cuts aren't irritated is during my period. Once it clears I constantly itch an have a discharge that burns afta urinating. When I cleanse my vaginal area with cold water I get rely uncomfortable, its like rubbing salt to the cut. A lot of the time when id wipe my urine off afta urinating id spot a white cloudy thick curd like film all over y vaginal area. As exagerated as it may sound. It depresses me. Iv googled my symptoms I think of clamedia but iv tested HIV negative, no STD 's I have no sexual activity (its out of choice)
There are times when my vaginal canal wod feel irritated (friction like feeling) then id also feel like I've something heavy that wants, o find its way out through my vagina. Normaly it happens if I am standing. Sometimes my stomach would just become tight and big id look pregnant.
Yes iv been to the public clinic, they only prescribe anti acids. Its not helping. Family and friends suggest its something to do with my womb.
As for now, I believe in seeking a gynacologist and getting her expert opinion.
