I have just read the post by Dr. Chris Smith about the correlation between Cymbalta and an increased desire to drink alcohol. As a person who has recently started Cymbalta for pain management and not for depression I would have to disagree with his findings. As physicians I think you need to expand your opinions outside of clinical trials and evaluate patient experience. I have found my experience not to be alone and think that this medicine may kick off some compulsive behaviors not previously experienced absent the medication.
