I am experiencing these spots on my skin as well and I thought it may be an allergic reation to something I am eating. Did anyone find out what it could be?
have you got rid of them or know what they are and why they happen
just take a bath as often as you can.... I believe you all are acidic like me... It's in our blood. so every time i start to sweat i change shirt or take a bath or half bath...sometimes i have to change my shirt 3-5x a day. The parts where you say it darkens is usually wet, moist, and itchy, very irritating...the answer for that is hygiene and proper diet(fruits, vegetables, and water or natural and fresh juices no junk foods and softdrinks-anything with chemicals...) try it for a month... see the changes.... the only thing you need is...hygiene, discipline and control....always make sure that the parts that darkens is always dry, always be clean... :-)

I have similar dry skin dark spots. They don't itch or irritate me. I went to a dermatologist and she said it was in places where I sweat. She gave me an antibiotic. I'm not so sure about the perscription though. I looked up the medication (Minocycline) and there was nothing about what skin problem she mentioned. With all the possible side effects, I'm hesitant.

Sounds like seborrheic keratosis. Non-cancerous dry rough skin spots. They are round or oval spots that almost looks like they are stuck on the skin.
I had a couple small ones show up on my bra line on my back and one very small one on my chest. Dematologist said if they were irritated the insurance would cover removing them, otherwise they aren't anything to worry about. But I looked a the pictures on line and want them gone and feel for some of the people that have this keratosis in a much much worse state...

I started getting these a year ago. I just assumed they were age spots that were dry since they mimic them. I have had an increase in the numbers from maybe 50 to 200 to 300 over the last few months. I googled to find out what they are. I came across this blog but then found the article below. I find the article describing my spots to the tee. Also, it is very scary but any change in my body whether skin or otherwise is scary and I have learned to be cautious and go to the doctor after ignoring breathing problems and found out I had a collapse lung that could have killed me. So off to the doctor I go with this article in hand. Good Tip! Take what ever you find out on the internet with you. It helps especially since I have to go to a primary care doctor first to be referred. It makes my doctor realize it maybe something else besides dry skin and refer me to a specialist faster.
