Hi, I am training distance running for more than year. I am pretty good runner and I have quite good result but I have to be faster if I want to take a part in this year championship which will be in 6 weeks. I would like to know what I would do to make my running time better. I am usually running 5000 meters race.
Hi, as you didn't mention what was your last result on 5000 meters I would give you general advice which may lead you to tour goal. You would run shorter tracks than 5000 meters while you are training. You would run 200 meters, 400 meters and 800 meters. You would take care that your time while you run these tracks have to be faster for more than 5 seconds by track when you compare it to he time when you are running 5000 meters. Also you would rest enough and when the time comes to run full length you would be ready and full of strength. This will give you possibility to pace the race in the way you want and you will make your goal.
