If you were "constantly jacked" due to Adderall you probably shouldn't have been prescribed. Think about it. Adderall levels people who have ADHD or ADD. Yes it's an amphetamine but we (or at least) I have enough energy as it is and do not need (nor should) take anything to spike up my energy like those who aren't prescribed to Adderall do.This medication makes me calm and focused not "jacked" up. Aderrall can do crazy things to your system and I know people who are prescribed very high doses. I am prescribed to 60mg a day and go to the best doctors in my city. The suggestion to file a "malpractice suit" is obnoxious.
Yes!! I have been on this medication (30mg / day) for threr years now and remained fully regular on my monthly cycles until switching pharmacies last month. I had always received the Teva/Barr generic and the new pharmacy gave me Sandoz. I was a week and a half from my next period but started the next morning instead. Two weeks later I got a cold and ended up sleeping a whole day. When resuming my medication the next day, my period freaking started another whole cycle. Two full cycles in February and I'm confident if I were to skip even one day of this stuff again, I'd resume with yet another period. I called the pharmacy to make sure they put in my chart to never give me Sandoz brand again. On top of everything else, it only produces negative side effects (flushing face, dizziness, nausea, brain fog) and doesn't touch the symptoms it should at all (hyperactivity, lack of focus, frustrations, etc). I'm curious if those of you who have experienced this also were on the Sandoz version (flatter, lighter, more crumbly tablets) or if you experienced it with Teva/Barr too (thicker tablets with a slightly "humped" top and bottom- commonly football shaped).

I have a heart problems as well of every thing else so me going up on it is a no for sure and my birth control I have to tack just to make mine regular cuz of my hormone sent I was a teen or it never goes away so I think maybe it's time to tack less it's well mess with my ADHD but in long run maybe better

Hello PMSIScrazy, that sounds like Pre Menstrual Disphoric Disorder, or PMDD for short. Which is when PMT lasts longer than the usually 3 days are the symptoms are extreme. It's hell! I had it a few years ago, it lasted for a year or so when I finally stumbled upon a pamphlet with info. My Dr. Simply recommended fish oil tablets which truly saved my life! Fish oil is amazing for mood problems but also helped me with the physical symptoms. My breasts during the PMDD were so sore walking was painful. On top of that being in a dark emotional space for 2 weeks every month made general functioning virtually impossible. I think fish oil should be compulsory for any one suffering a mood disorder. I never leave home without it. Hope this helps.
I'm now taking prescribed dex amphetamine for ADD & have noticed my menstrual cycle influences the effect of this. Sometimes more, sometimes less. Only been on them for 2 cycles but am going to research this more & work out when to adjust my dose. & yes, of course discuss with my Dr.

Adderall naturally effects your cycle. It can make your periods very irregular/unpredictable for a while. I am on 20mg XR for my ADHD and my period has come earlier at points.
I also experience pelvic pain and bleeding irregularly
I've started taking it for 1 week. Stopped for 3 days went back for 2. All around the time my period was suppose to come on. I'm normally regular ALWAYS. I've been cramping as if it was coming on along with sore breast. Still no period or spotting. I'm convinced that the adderall effects the cycle. Never had this issue. Not having sex so I know I'm not preg. I am freaked out cause I'm not use to not having my cycle. I wasn't prescribed it either. Tried it and I like it it keeps me focused. I feel like I went all my life getting in trouble at school & home for never completing anything and getting bored. After taking this I felt like I could accomplish anything. For the first time in my life I've been focused and finished all my task. I need to talk to a doc. About a diagnosis of adult ADHD. I just don't like the insomnia & no cycle. I don't want that to mess me up when it comes to having another child. I'm going to stop it until I get preg. Then start back. This will be after this last test at school that I have to get through. All the comments have helped me. I don't feel crazy anymore, or like aomething ia wrong with me. Finally a answer to me having issues in school and always getting in trouble as a kid at home.
You can get pregnant having tubes tied. I know this is an old post... how did it work out?
*talking from past experience observations I've made, advice I've been given, and personal opinion* not facts so don't quote me on anything I say here & I would advise you do your own research but, a lot of things can affect your cycle: diet, sleep pattern, amount of exercise you do or don't. That being said it would make sense that adderall can/would affect your cycle. I would be careful because adderall is highly addictive.
I would advise, if you're not prescribed it, to only do it once in awhile, definitely not multiple times in a week. I can definitely see that being a cause of your irregular period. But I am no doctor.
There are a lot of things that could happen to your body while on adderall especially if it's not prescribed. The period mishap does happen a lot but it's not the best thing for your body. Also since you've been taking one a day everyday for 2 weeks it won't make you feel as good after a while. That's probably why it didn't work as well. If I were you I'd stop taking adderall and if you don't please see a doctor or try minimizing the amount your taking. I used to take adderall without a prescription and I got drug poisoning. I very much regret it. I still have spider veins and the occasional stomach flu from this. Please get some help. That's what I did and it does help. You won't regret getting help.

Before they happen I'll typically have a huge emotional breakdown; the works. My period also lasts for like a week and it is heavy bleeding; really heavy and my cramps are really intense.
So I started my period on the 8th of this month. Which was a Monday and the very met day on the ninth which was a Tuesday I started my very first prescription of aderol from my doctor. It's a 20mg pill that I take once a day at 8 am. I noticed that I didn't feel any cramps whatsoever and my bleeding was so light. I'm going to go into graphic detail here. The bleeding looked like that last day blood; more brown and the pad actually looked black. This was the second day. The period or whatever was done in like 2 and a 1/2 days. The bleeding remained light the entire time.
I almost just attributed it to the pill, but now I'm not sure cause nobody has described this. But maybe it was just a shock to the system or whatever. What is your perspective also, does aderol release your guys cramps: I literally felt none.

xr is actually worse. I think she's talking generic. I take 20mg of xr in the morning and it lasts 24hrs (because it's xr duh) I couldn't take more than I am or my heart would explode. It RARELY messes with my menstrual cycle. I'd say it only does it twice a year. Once in winter and once in May.
I mean it depends on the body. I take Adderall 20mg xr and my periods are in between heavy and light (more on the heavy side) and I get middle cramps. But one of my friends who literally takes the same exact thing has light periods w/ light cramps.
