I'm not sure what surprises me more, the lack of personal bias or sheer ignorance of some of these responses.

To the person who experienced hemorrhoidal conditions from analysis play:

Hav you considered that you had a condition prior to engaging in analysis activities, and that the activities only made you aware of the issue?

As for, "is it safe?"

Absolutely! But you must understand that it's just like anything else. Extreme or unsafe practice will result in injury. This is unavoidable in anything we do. As mentioned in many of the posts, the ample use of lubricant will greatly reduce frictional complications and can result in safe and enjoy sex.

So... you are surrounded by people who say they do it many times a week for MANY years- with no problem... Dr's are telling people it's safe.. But YOU know better huh?

Let me guess- You were too embarrassed to mention your anal sex play to your Dr. when your completely random medical event set in, so you just assumed that the 'dirty' things you did must be to blame?.... Try telling your doc the truth? You must have had some kind of severe predisposition to damage in that area in it is in fact the cause. The majority of people are fine doing it 100's and 1000's of time without issue.

Would love to hear what the doc would say

I agree with the moderator. It doesn't belong in there. A few years ago, we had a fellow come to us who had to wear a colostomy bag because his lover had caused the problem. I asked the man what happened and he said that his lover has a large *****. Thankfully it was only temporary until the repair to that part of his body had healed and strengthened. Women have tears at the beginning but once healed their ****** adjust accordingly and naturally. By the way, woman have a natural secretion that acts as a lube, with gay men though, you have to have several tubes of lube, goose grease, mink oil, and petroleum jelly to make the transition possible and you have to do this each and every time. And remember that if your not wearing a condom, your ***** is rubbing up against feces. One thing about homosexuals they keep the lubricant suppliers in business.

Ha men also secrete this mystical fluid as well. Your point is null and void. The lube companies are in business because sex sells, be it actual sex or masterbation, the need will always be there.

Also, enemas are a thing so there aren't always feces in the picture.

Oh the human body was never intended so sh*t could penetrate the ass, it was only made so sh*t could exit the ass. It doesn't take a lot to figure this out.

"Never intended" implies design, for which there is no evidence. Ignoring this gross error, one could equally say that the human body was never intended to be clothed, fly in aeroplanes, use a computer, cut their hair, go ice-skating, eat cheese or wear glasses. We do all these things because we can.

it is very-very unhealthy! Do ask your proctologist.

Anal sex can expose participants to two principal dangers: infections due to the high number of infectious microorganisms not found elsewhere on the body, and physical damage to the anus and the rectum due to their fragility. Judy Kuriansky, a Columbia University professor: "It really is shocking how many myths young people have about anal sex. They don't think you can get a disease from it because you're not having [vaginal] intercourse.

Anal intercourse is potentially physically harmful. It can cause anal fissures (cracks), thereby allowing the quick transfer of blood born diseases such as hepatitis and HIV. There are also other consequences of fissures.

I believe that there has been some research that suggests that the rectal wall does not provide much of a barrier to the AIDS virus, and that the recipient of anal intercourse is quite vulnerable to contracting the disease if the penetrator has the disease and ejaculates.

Less widely known is the fact that men who engage in receptive anal intercourse have a higher rate of anal cancer than the general population. This may be associated with the fact that men who have sex with men also have a greater incidence of anal human papillomavirus (HPV) infection.

Feces contain bacteria, which can cause a urinary tract infection (urethritis), in men who do not wear condoms. Women can also get urinary tract infections or vaginal infections if the feces laden phallus comes into contact with the female genitalia. Furthermore, the bedding may also become contaminated with these same bacteria if care is not taken to clean up immediately after anal intercourse.

The anal area is rich with nerve endings. Many people find this to be a pleasurable sexual activity. The difficulty is that the tissue wasn't designed for this sort of use. You may be interested to know there have been reports of "fist f*****g" being performed on stage in New York between consenting homosexual participants. The receiving participant reportedly takes a muscle relaxant to allow this violent form of penetration. This is an extreme form of sodomy, which combines violence with sexuality. As you might imagine, the effect on the tissue will have something to do with the level of aggressiveness of the penetrator.

Also, different people have different levels of susceptibility to anal problems such as fissures. So, I don't think that I can settle whether this is harmful to the body. It would depend upon the care of the participants to ensure that injury was minimized, the susceptibility of the recipient to anal problems, and the disease status of the participants - particularly the disease status of the penetrator. I personally don't think it is a good idea. But that is just an opinion.

A friend who is an expert on sexual violence said that many rapes involve anal penetration. Since rape is not about sexual pleasure and more about anger and domination, this might give your students some pause regarding the merits of sodomy.

Am I the only one that doesn't think that advice about this should be given to a 14 year old boy? Yes, i know. A lot of 14 year old teenagers are having sex already but that doesn't mean we should encourage them to try it. I would be ashamed of myself if I gave any kid just entering high school tips for sex and they ended up with an STD or Aids. Adults should act more like adults and stop acting like its ok for kids barely into puberty be having sex.

If you need "several tubes of lube" to accomplish anal sex, you're doing it wrong, unless that's supposed to be your three-year supply. That's ludicrous. Done correctly, anal will never require more than a quarter-sized dollop of (gel-type, water-based) lube, usually more like a dime.

Also, "some rapes involve anal therefore no one should do anal"? Uh, most rapes involve vaginal penetration so does that mean no one should have vaginal sex either? Some rapes involve any sex act you can think of. That's a seriously irrelevant and frankly offensive thing to bring up; saying it's relevant is equating consensual sex and rape, which demonizes consensual sex and minimizes rape.

Also, giving information does not encourage someone to do something, it just makes them less likely to get hurt when they do do it. Like, do you understand teenagers even a little? When you just say "don't do it" they automatically want to ten times as much as they wanted to before, and if you try to scare them off it when they can easily see that what you're saying is untrue, they stop trusting anything else you say.

well, I think your too young to know about anal intercourse, but if your curious, there is no beating it. So, Anal sex is healthy, it wont make you in diapers by age 45. Just don't do it TOO often because your penis and the womans' anus will be VERY VERY SORE
