Hi, I keep having panic attacks since high school. I’m now 24 years old, and my condition is not improving. I heard from a friend that yoga relieves panic attacks. Was she right about that?
Yes, it really works. I was anxious for many years because of my job and the future, and I often had the panic attacks. I was using many medicines, like celexa and zofolt, but nothing really helped. Then I started taking yoga classes, and after just couple of weeks, I felt better. The stress in my body was reduced, I and learned how to breathe properly, which is very important in my condition. Now I breathe slowly and smoothly through my nose, and when I feel like a panic attack is going to strike me, I focus on my exhalation. Symptoms as choking, shaking and trembling are gone, and I feel like a completely new person. You should try yoga because it really relieves panic attacks! And not just that, it helps with insomnia, headaches and depression too!
