hi i am reali scared to have sex because it might hurt if so how much can it hurt and what is a hyman thing ?
when I lost my virginity it didn't hurt, you have to realise that sex wont be that pleasureable the first few times, you won't orgasm from intercourse alone until you are in your mid twenties. when it's your first time, you have to remind your boyfreind to take it slowly and ease you into it, and be gentle with you.

the hymen is a fold of skin, inside the vagina, quite near the entrance. in most girls past puberty it folds over itself, and is at the side of the vagina near the anus. most women have one, and for most women, when they loose their virginity it will break slightly, and bleed a little, which does sound a little scary! but read on....

the pain of loosing one's virginity isn't from the breaking of the hymen, the hymen has very little nerve endings in it, most women only realise it's broken because they see a little blood.
the pain associated with loosing virginity is because your vagina is quite small/tight/snug, notice how with inserting a finger or tampon its quite a snug fit? well a penis is much larger than a finger!

it may be a bit painful to have such a big object as a penis inside your vagina, because your muscles inside the vagina have to stretch to fit a penis inside, and this can be uncomfortable.

but as I said above, if you make sure you are well lubricated (this is important, you need to be wet, or use a WATER-BASED lube (because oil based lubricants will break a condom!!!), because this is one of the most common causes of pain! a lack of lubrication!) and take it slow!!!

if you are scared, wait, maybe your body is telling you you aren't ready for it yet :)

Yeah, as "helpisontheway" said, if your scared you maybe shouldn't be thinking about it.

You sound very young and probably shouldn't be thinking about sex just now, it wouldn't do you any harm by doing some research on the internet into basic sex facts either.
