I just got my results from my hida scan and my dr called to tell me that my ejection was o%. I have to go see a surgeon monday. I have been in so much pain that I even passed out. I would have atacks that made me think that I was having a heart attack. Worse pain I ever felt in my life. Has anyone ever had attacks the felt like that?

I too had normal bloodwork and ultrasound but hida scan was 9%. Surgery next week hoping all is better after 1.5 years dealing with all of the sickness that went along with this.

I just had my gallbladder removed on Wednesday. My ejection rate on my Hida scan was 24%. Dr said there is nothing to do if your gallbladder doesn't function properly but have it taken out. Mine was also inflamed. For inflammation alone you can do a special low fat diet to help, doesn't necessarily have to be removed. Hope this helps! By the way, it's not a bad surgery at all. Came home next day, just pretty sore, but overall really feeling alot better.

I have a small hernia but have a lot of pain vertical between the bottom of my bra and my navel, horizontal in the middle of my back and feels like the pain goes straight through about 1 1/2 hours after I eat. I haven't been able to pin point any type of food/drink that makes it worse. I have been on Nexium that didn't work and Dicyclomine that worked a little better for awhile but now the pain is back full force along with indigestion added. I am scheduled to have the gallbladder taken out April 20, 2016. The doctor told me my hernia should not be causing me that much pain so he sent me for the HIDA, my function was 7%. There is no guarantee that will take away the pain but if the hernia isn't causing the pain, he must be the gallbladder. I guess I will find out next week.

Received results of HIDA scan this morning and gallbladder is functioning at 29%. When I heard results, I declined surgery because I am rarely having symptoms. Surgeon called me personally and explained that the gallbladder will never regain complete function and there is danger of infection since it is not emptying bile properly. Diet change, etc is not going to help. He said I could very well have an acute attack, which is severely painful, and have to go in for emergency surgery. A friend experienced this and thought she was having a heart attack. I am going to schedule surgery next month which he seemed to think was OK. He said I could very well not have problems for months or years but why chance a painful episode if can be avoided. i have numerous friends that have had gallbladder removal with no adverse effects.

5 months ago I started waking up nauseated every day. I thought that having sleepless nights with baby was finally catching up with me (she is 17 months old). Than I started gaining weight, feeling nausea during the day, having pain in my upper back and right shoulder, getting so bloated that I looked I was about to have another baby, feeling pain all across the middle region of my belly, pain under my right rib, feeling full very quickly even if I just ate a little bit, burping a lot, sometimes constipated sometimes with diarrea for days, very tired every day, pains and cramps all over my tummy. I went to the doctor and after going through urine and blood test, upper endoscopy, sonogram, CT scan finally a HIDA Scan the diagnosis was my gallbladder working at 24% only. Now I am having surgery to remove it in 3 days. I hope I will finally be able to feel better.
