I take 1mg clonazepam 4 times a day. First drug test and it came up negative. I also took 2 pills prior to the test. My Dr was very nice about tho. He believes that I take them. All he said was klonnopin can sometimes be hard to find. I don't want them to think that I don't take them. Or worse selling them. I'm confused
It happened to me a month ago and I have panic attacks, PTSD, etc...Have been taking it 20 years. Mine showed up Negative and my doctor quit prescribing it to me and doesn't know how much of a health issue this is.
I called TEVA PHARMACEUTICALS and told them what happened. Yes, it is very true, that Klonopin does not show up on Drug Screening Tests.
It is in a different metabolite. To all of that are prescribed Klonopin, call your Board of Pharmacy in the state you in and let them know what is going on.
For some of us it is a lifesaver just like insulin is to a diabetic.
Thanks:)

Iam have same thing I take 2 MG a day

Have same problem and my numbers just under 300Ng
Same here. I had to take a drug test for pre-employment, they do what's called a rapid test, and I take one milligram of Klonopin about 4 times a week for sleep. In fact, I took some last night. I took my prescription with me and listed it the fact that I took it, but the nurse there said that my rapid test was fine and they didn't need to send it out anywhere because nothing showed up. I just said okay thanks, but I really was surprised that this happened, I expected that it would show up and that I would be required to show that I have a legal prescription for it which I was certainly prepared to do. This completely surprised me since I've always read that it has a long Half-Life, and I've read up on what that means, so I thoroughly expected I would test positive for benzodiazepines, I'm not quite a surprise now that I've read all these good responses. Interesting that it didn't show up on a rapid test. So I'm assuming it would show up on a more complicated one..
I think the tests are purposely negative so they can take us off benzos bigger
omg me too, i could cry they are insinuating that i am selling them, they have taken my phases away and they are torturing me. what do i need to do to prove i am taking this
not sure if you'll read this. But I take .5 twice a day for about a year now again( had been off of it and I relapsed in panic attacks after I had my son)...I went into my doc today and was drug tested for the first time ever. (which truthfully took me back and kind of upset me) I couldn't produce barely any urine(as a few drops) and I was then told they were able to complete the test and clonazepam wasn't in my system ?!? I had even taken my morning dose about 30min before I went. She said she would send it off for lab testing... not sure what that meant... is it what you are referring to? and will it detect .5 twice a day if sent to the lab? Thank You In Advance!
I take 20 mg of k pins all the time I’m not dead
Ok, it is nothing to get upset or let your anxiety get the best of you. I am a chemist and work in a drug testing laboratory. First and foremost you have to understand the Klonopin molecule. It is quite big with lot's of bio reactivity sites (that is just a fancy way of us chemists say that the drug is metabolized with only about 1% of the metabolite secreted in urine). This is very common for people taking drug tests for benzodiazapines. Klonopin has a 300mg/ml detection, so unless you are on a HUGE amount, a urine test will not show for this metabolite. That equates to about 20mg a day! We set our GC/MS (analytical instrumentation) to detect at 30mg/ml..... even more sensitive and people who swear by their life claim they take it, does not show up. BUT this is understandable if you understand the science. I do not know why doctors do not take this into account? They should know this and read the literature. Please tell your doctor this information or to call the laboratory where you got tested and the chemist should be able to explain. Perfectly normal, however frustrating at the same time.
Same thing in my case. I take generic but if i remember correctly i think brand name might show up. I told my dr straight out i would test neg n take blood. I also told her i would take one in front of her n stay in office to take a drug screening. I am just waiting to see what my blood results show.
I agree, i told my dr that i would like an explanation as why i test neg. She also seemed perplexed
