For several years now, during the winter months primarily, I get itchy eyes and minor facial skin burns around my eyes. ear lobe, and forehead. I thought it might be from medications I was taking that contained antihistamines, but even when I discontinue using the antihistamines, my eyes continue to become itchy and I experience minor skin burns of the areas I described above. The doctor prescribed Allegra (fexodfenadine), but later another doctor informed me that the Allegra might be drying me out and partially responsible for the skin burns. I also use petroleum jelly and other eye lubricants like Eucerin to keep my eyes from getting extremely dry and cracking at the inner and outer parts of my eye. Do you have any suggestions as to what the problem is, or what type of physician I might need to see.

I'd start with an eye doctor...
an opthomologist, I believe...
