Can anyone give me any information about Lupus, please? I have heard that Lupus is a complicated and apparently horrible disease, and that most people who suffer from Lupus have problems with their eyes. In what form does this manifest itself? What are the effects of Lupus on the eyes? Is this something that all Lupus sufferers experience, or if not, how many, percentage wise? Thanks for your time and effort.
The short answer is that not all lupus patients suffer from eye problems. There is still a significant minority that does encounter problems, though. Fortunately, it is generally the surface of the eyes that is affected, and not a patient's vision. These minor problems are normally easily treated with eye drops. I am really not sure about the percentage. Why are you asking? I'll see if I can get you a link.
