I'm sorry I had to chuckle at that because I've been like that after injections too....I went off in Walmart when a lady cut right in front of me with her cart and I slammed my cart into hers when I could have stopped.. It literally makes you crazy for a few days and we feel horrible afterwards.. I have xanax this time and I'm going to try that when I get to that rage point.. I'll let you know how it goes =)

I just had neck trigger point injections with hip trigger point injections then 2 days later I got SI joint injections in both points....I felt less pain quickly but I've been hanging out in the house because I go from really bad anxiety to wanting to rip someone's head off............8 days later I'm feeling a little more stable... Try to be patient with Mom... It's uncontrollable and very hard on her too.. Luckily I had xanax to take and that helped.. Reallly think that it should be prescrible to patients for a week or so to help.. It's a double edged sword because constant day and night pain is so hard.. You can't even keep up with housework or life and then the remedies have these side effects......

How long did your rage last i feel angry and irritable a week after the shot

My daughter found this site and I had a sacroiliac injection 6 days ago, I feel terrible . Anger, Depression, shallow breathing, hopeless and wanting to sleep and nothing else. even the work I love to do, uch, I dropped out of working on something I totally enjoy. I have not felt relief as I think the rage, stress and negativity has kept all my pain going.
I feel total scared to discuss this with the Doctor that did the shot or my general doctor because I feel a shame that I'm crazy and they won't give me any other medication, I take Fioricet and its helpful.
I am riddled with fear, anxiety and anxious .
I have yelled at family.
I have been a good Mother, wife and Community Member. I feel useless now. How long will this last???
I am never taking another shot again, a lot of these doctors are criminals anyway, they charge outrageous fees ($17,000.00) they fool the insurance company and make an "operating room" and go nuts with fees that they shove up your ass only after the procedure is done. This has been the 3rd shot over 3 years and my last. The financial stress is the cherry on top of the "Roid-Rage". Its real!

Hi everyone. Well I came on this sight to see if anger happens after injections, I see I got my answer IT DOES.. That explains why I have been so short tempered, I fly off the handle for no reason. This is my 3rd injection, and I finally caught on. For those who are family or friends that are getting the brunt of this anger, just know they do not mean what they are saying or doing. Do not take any of it to heart, it is just a very uncontrollable anger caused by the injection.. sorry. :(

Wondering if these effects went away after you stopped the injections.

I had my second Epidural Injection Monday and I developed a severe headache due to a the doc pricking my spinal cord. Head ache was the worst I have ever had. Had to lay flat for 24 hours for the spine hole to seal (not Fun) but today I have cried most of the day with the most depressing thoughts. I got on line to see if I was just losing my mind or was anyone else had this experience. I did not feel well after my first but did not have the headache or the despairing feelings.I think this shot was different in someway that the first. Different docs and different position while I got the shot. I may never get another cortisone shot after this bad experience I am giving my back pain to the Lord for he is faith and just to heal me.

Oh my gosh, yes!! I am the same way!! I actually just googled to see if this could be a side effect because I just had my second round of SI injections & I'm a wreck!! This time I'm noticing the pattern because I was this way until my cortisone wore off last time. I was in more pain, but way more even emotionally. I cry ALL of the time & have uncontrollable anxiety. The anxiety is so bad that my psychiatrist has to prescribe me something so I don't have panic attacks - it starts with me thinking of something a little overwhelming and then I end up feeling like I can't breathe! It's crazy! I also get a few Fits of anger, but mostly crying & axiety. I also sweat a lot & get heartburn. It's a toss up, because it really does help my pain, but it makes me a crazy person, lol. So glad I'm not alone. But sorry that you have to suffer from receiving the outbursts.

This is miserable! Received cortisone shot this morning and it is late evening. I am so irritable and then I scream then cry...
Bad thing is I am supposed to be packing to go out of town and just had a rage in front of my seven year old and hubby. Said were not going because I can't pack due to the "mess" and because my son didn't have his toys picked out... It's kind of funny because it sounds so stupid. But I have no idea how I am going to calm down to get stuff ready!

Today morning I had it injected. In 10 minutes I started to have bad stomach cramps and would blow to triple size. Then a bad weakness tiredness and horrible headache which becomes now a terrible migraine. I cannot sleep thoughts flying though my mind a cannot control to sop them. I'm getting stressed, mentally exhausted and depressed. I took an ipubrufen hopefully will help.

I have recently had cortisone injections in my scalp to treat alopecia. I expereinced sleep disturbance, aggitation, irritability and profound sadness. The Dr who administered the injections said this reaction is not typical and may not be caused by the cortisone injections, so I had my appointment and received another dose of cortisone injections and had a very similar experience.
I am not sure why my mental well being is so sensitive to cortisone injections, but I am sure the injections cause side effects that are not worth the benefit they bring for me.
It is not possible for me to have the contentment and peace that I usually experience.
I wish you mother well. she is not alone. others experience what she is experiencing after cortisone injections.
