Hi this is my first time posting here and I am not sure how to go about it but will give it my best shot....

My boyfriend is having issues with one of his testicals. He says that is its out of place like its lower and further 'in' then it should be. It also has a really soft growth on it almost like an extra fluid sack. It also feels like the vains and what not that connect it to the body are covered in fat lumpy growths and are hard. He also gets pains that go from his testical to his navel....

Dose anyone have any ideas on what this maybe??
I have a very good idea about him seeing a doctor. Your description could indicate hydrocele (cyst-benign) as well as varicocele ( dilated veins, could cause infertility but benign)but he needs to see a doctor to rule out cancer.

oh ya, i have the same problem. i m 17 now and i had it since i was 13.

it's nothing... it's just veins on the testicle. a lot of people get that when they go through puberty and it hurts if your boxers aren't good support. get better ones but it really hurts like he can't stand the pain then he can have surgery.

not to worry, it's 100% he will live.

nothing serious.

once, my husband has a problem that sounds like that. Was he ever hit really hard, car accident, kicked, or blunt trauma to that area? Even at a young age, my husband was hit by a car when he was 9 and never showed signs until after puberty. His nut on one side looks and feels different than the one on the other side.

He had to see a doctor. They had to do surgery to take the infected veins out. If this is not done early chances of reproduction is not good.

My advice have him see a man doctor. He will fix the problem and if it is nothing, there will be a weight lifted. Also if you someday want children or even if you do not and he does have them before surgery take some healthy sperm for safe keeping at a sperm bank for him later.

Just in the most serious cases when they say he can never have kids. Thankfully some one told us to have it checked out when he did ,because the id**t above he might have waited too long to check into it and we would not have our two beautiful kids. But this problem can most likely come back.

If you want kids together start before its too late. his biological clock is ticking as we speak. Sooner or later it takes all the good sperm and you don't even know it.

P.S. if you are not using protection and have not gotten prego then this is most likely the reason for that too...as it probably is not you... it is his sperm count depleting as this will do.

SEE A DOCTOR. "A penis DOCTOR"

Alright, time for some sanity here. 8-|

First, most of the posters above are speaking from their own experience, and have no medical training. Therefore, though there is a grain of truth in each of their responses, I would not act on ANY of their postings until after you have a qualified medical exam. 8-|

This could be your family doctor.... or, if referred, a urologist (They aren't cheap, and insurance will want to approve the referral before you go!)

Now, the 17 year old, Helper205, is correct in describing a varicocele. It is not serious, but can be painful. The first step is to make sure that your bf has support in his shorts.

Second, you can check this out with him: Does the lump or bump on the testicle go away when he lays down flat on his back? If so, that might be the blood in the veins returning to the body. When he stands, do the lumps, bumps, bulges return? If so, then probably a varicocele.

Third, you can check this out also: Turn out the lights and illuminate his scrotum from behind that testicle with a small, strong flashlight. Don't let the bulb burn him, but keep it moving. The testicle will be dark and let no light through it. A varicocele will show red, due to the blood in the veins. If the light remains yellow or white, that's probably a hydrocele... it will not vanish when he lays down.

Yes, a major varicocele will impact fertility, but when it is on only one side (usually the left) he still has another good right side to make sperm.
So, DON'T jump to the conclusion that he will be infertile. Nor that difficulties in conceiving are all his. It MIGHT be a factor. After trying a while, THEN consult a doctor to have his sperm count checked.

Yes, there can be surgery to remove or shrink the blood vessels but they reserve this for extreme cases and it is not recommended for most, unless the pain is extreme.

So, yes, he should see a "man doctor" to get an exam. Yes, you would do well to do this soon. It is not possible for us to conclude "the clock is ticking"... because a man always makes more sperm. It's not like a woman who has a fixed number of eggs.

As for the problem coming back, that's for a doctor to advise. PS: The veins are not "infected"...they are distended... expanded, due to their size and standing... not infected.

DanDan has the right idea. There are several things it could be. Go get an appointment and have your man checked out.

Good luck. It's not the end of the world. 8-|
