My son was diagnosed with Erythema Multiforme. He has some changes on his skin, but I am not able to describe them. Doctor gives him some medications and told us to keep him away from sun. Can you, please, explain what kind of disease is this and how can I help my son?

Erythema Multiforme is an acute, self-limited inflammatory disorder of skin and mucosa, characterized by distinctive target lesions. It is often associated with sore throat. Usually it is caused by herpes virus infection and different drugs. Sun can provoke further progress of the disease. As therapy, often suggestions are corticoids in creams and antiallergenic drugs, to prevent scratching.
