Hey, guys. I've experienced the same problem. I don't have it so bad that i feel like I'm peeing, but i have to wear a pantyliner 24/7 or else my undies will be soaked. Now here's a random thought i had: I've always just assumed that some women just have access discharge. Like someone has more oil on their skin or have excessively watering eyes. Here's my personal random theory and reasoning: (and i apologize if this offends anyone) i have experienced female ejaculation. I'm thinking that there might be some correlation. that liquid must be stored somewhere. I'm wondering if the excess discharge is there because my body is making this liquid which causes me to have female ejaculation and it has to do something with it? might that be a reason for access discharge?

i read through these posts and I felt a bit disheartened. Why are we referring to things coming out ouf us as disgusting? It has no smell, its clear but a bit mucusy ( like egg whites). Doesn't itch... Mine started when I stopped taking Birth Control. I don't think its disgusting.. i'm okay with it... My Husband is MORE THAN HAPPY about it.

I admit it gets a bit annoying wearing pantyliners al the time but i'm fine with it. I dont have STi's my hormone levels are fine. its fine.

It is disgusting when it is a heavier flow than your period and you have to ignore your doctor and wear tampons every time you get a diaper rash. Very frustrating. Also I find being so wet takes away from my sexual experience.

I am 28 and for the past year I have been having extra discharge: non-smelly but very gooey, thick, stringy white to clear discharge. When it first got bad enough that I noticed it (one day I realized it looked like I had peed my pants at work so I went home sick out of embarassment) I went to the gyno and he just said "it looks like you are just ovulating". Sure enough, it does get heavier to the point where I have to wear a panty liner or risk it soaking through my pants for at least a week around my ovulation time, but it goes away some the rest of the month. This month however, it stayed heavy and was even noticeable during my period. My ovulation time this month felt like another version of PMS I was super bloated with mild cramps from feeling the follicles burst. I keep wondering if this is my body's way of telling me it's ready to have kids? I haven't been with a man in over a year, since before I started having this problem and now I am nervous when I do find one, I don't feel desirable when I feel so gross down there, nor do I want a man going down there and finding that stuff coming out. Not 30 minutes ago I went to the bathroom only to notice a large string of it dripping out. Instead of wiping (and using tons of TP to clear it away like normal) I timed how long it would take to stop and literally it slid out for 5 minutes. What if instead of going to the bathroom I had started becoming intimate with a guy?! I have to admit how releived I was to find this forum though- it helps not feeling alone with this situation. Hopefully a doctor somewhere will discover something like a pill that can stop this. We get periods- isn't that enough for us to have to deal with!?!?

Did you find any answers ?? I have this excessive vaginal discharge all the time -it is clear & stringy--- Have had it for over 2 years now. I am 42, eat right & exercise & @ my ideal weight --- I have been to the Dr. many times about this. I have been tested for all STD's -- I am clear of any infections - @ first they kept saying it was all normal. Bullcrap -- This isnt normal. I can actually feel it coming out of me. I also have to wear a pad all of the time. I have finally found a Dr that is looking into it, she has also tested me for infection & I am still clear. She also tested my hormones - all are good -- she is now going to check my uterus for fibroids/polyps. Just waiting for her call back -- I am so tired of this, I cant live this way anymore. Thank God my husband tries to understand all of this. He is a wonderful man!-- I will keep you posted. I am glad I found this forum - was begining to feel like was the only one with this problem that they call normal --

I happened to stumble over this site and when I read your posting I identified with it 100%. I am 19 and have the same symptoms as you describe. I haven’t been to any doctors yet, I thought that it was normal or something...although I find it very irritating and uncomfortable. Do you have any new information about these problems? Does anyone? Should I also go and see a doctor?

im 18 and have the exact same prob. im freakin out.. its disgusting and i know it cant b normal

I have had this now for exactly a year.
As I mentioned before, I have seen my OB/GYN about it. We did the LEEP procedure adn on the follow up appointment, I was told that it didn't do much about my Ectropian and there is nothing else to try. She emphasized that I am normal, and some women just create more discharge than others.
One thing she has mentioned is that panty liners are actually not good for you. Unlike a normal pad, they don't actually draw the moisture away, and if you create enough discharge you are only going to cause diaper rashes that can lead to yeast infections.
Well at the time of my follow up, I was thinking about sewing liners into my underpants.
The good news, over the last 2 or 3 weeks, my discharge has lightened up significantly. It is still fairly heavy, nbut I don't need to wear liners (or ignore my Dr and use tampons).
Maybe there is light at the end of the tunnel.
But if you can't fix it, sometimes you have to embrace it.
For the last commenter who said she felt embarrassed.
I started a relationship in the last year with this issue. I was embarrassed about it too, especially when he insisted in going down on me, but you know what, he didn't mind it a bit.
I think if nothing else it turned him on more.
Be brave, and be proud, even if it is difficult. There is a good side to everything, sometimes you just have to look at it in another light.

Hi,
Glad to hear that other women seem to have the same problem as me. I'm 43 years old, and the amount of discharge has been increasing for the last 4 years or so. I have to wear tampons all the time from my period until the ovulation. The discharge is totally liquid, light yellow, not mucuous at all, no itching and no smell. Sometimes there are a few drops of blood. Contrary to the other testemonies, I don't have any discharge between the ovulation and the next period. I also asked my gynecologist and she also said that I'm perfectly healthy and that everything is fine. Which is hard to believe. However, after reading this site and seeing how many women have this problem and how many gynecologists agree that it is normal, I start thinking that maybe we should just believe them! Our body is a mysterious place and it keeps changing over the years, so things can appear and disappear. Looks like this heavy discharge is indeed normal, just not very common...

This entire page of responses has been really helpful and reassuring to me. I'm only 16, never had sex of any kind before in my entire life and I have this same exact problem. I have bits and pieces of all the different symptoms. My discharge is clear on toilet paper, but it stains my underwear which is frustrating and embarrassing. It's constant. I've had this since I was was little and it was only occasional until the past few years. It's become much more present and constant and noticeable. For awhile, I thought that maybe I was just "turned on" easily by little things all the time. But then it would happen on days where I was in a horrible mood and not even CLOSE to feeling anything sexual. Then, over the past year or so, along with the excessive discharge has been occasional blood and I'm now spotting before and after my periods sometimes.
In the beginning of last year I was put on birth control due to a series of extremely painful periods to the point in which I was hospitalized. They ran tests and scans and at first were questioning my virginity and tried to diagnose it as a miscarriage. Which obviously was not the case. They came up with a UTI/ Intestinal infection+ my normal cycle. The birthcontrol did nothing and simply made me a psycho. The painful period only came back one other time and is now gone.
But here I am, still a virgin, not painful any more than normal periods, healthy diet, loosing weight, and this gross excessive discharge. If anyone on here ever finds out any kind of name for what this problem is or a way to fix it, PLEASE let me know. Thank you for all the help and posts onto this forum! :-)

I am 28 years old and a mother of two. I am having the exact symptoms as "Newbie". I have no STD's and all test have come back normal. But this drives me crazy. I have to wear a panti liner daily and it irritates me so bad. The only thing my doctor coulc come up with was that it was my body cleaning itself out. Really?! But said nothing to do about the situation to fix it. I didnt notice this problem until I had my tubes tied after my second child. If anyone else has any answers please email me, and if I find some answers,I will do the same.

i've had the same problem for about 2 years. Went to dr. Was even given antibiotics and it still didn't go away. It is very embarrassing and disgusting to feel it come down and to have it really come out when urinating. Every pap is normal. If antibiotics didn't control it then maybe it's normal? annoyed!

I'm 22, a virgin, and I've had this problem off and on for YEARS... daily discharge that's clear/white.  When I was a teenager, it was only a couple non-period weeks out of the month... but as of the past year, it's been every single day and I have to wear a pantiliner all the time.  I thought it was hormone-related, but I couldn't find a correlation.  I suppose this is just "normal" since so many people have this issue, but it's really really annoying.  If anyone figures out a way to make this stop or even just decrease a bit, please PLEASE share!
