Hey guys. Im a 27 year old male who feels really bad all the time. Im constantly fatigued. I can literally go to sleep for 12 hours if nobody wakes me up. And thats every single night. Over the last 2 years i have gained almost 50 pounds. I also feel horrible all the time. I get so sick everytime i eat usually, and have to go to the bathroom quickly. I use to wanna go out all the time and do stuff but now i just feel completely exhausted and dont want to leave the house on weekends. I also have troubling swallowing foods. It feels like it gets stuck in my lower chest and feels like im going to choke if i dont quickly wash it down. My blood work is fine. My cholesterol is only 90 and my HDL, LDL and triglycerides are perfect. My sugar is also perfect so its not diabetes or anything, ive already been tested.

Please help if anyone has had these experiences or know of anything. Im tired of just feeling bad and not wanting to do anything in my life or with my wife. I do work a lot nearly 60 hours a week some weeks and always usually 50. I just want to feel better....

It might not feel like it to you, but you may be suffering from anxiety or depression, both of which can make you either overly tired, and make you over or under sleep. Anxiety can often make you feel ill and may be part of the eating problem.. If you have lost intrest in things that you would normally enjoy & have become lethargic noticed yourself eating more/unhealthy food, these are all signs of depression.
It can be either environmental or hereditary.
There are short tests you can take online to see if you may be at risk, if you are still unsure go discuss the possibility with your doctor.

Hope this helps :)
Feel better soon

how about sleep apnea or chronic obstructive sleep disorder

IDK. Im still waiting for my appt.
I dont think it would be sleep apnea. I do however find myself not being able to wake up to an alarm clock at all

Alot of ppl dismiss the idea of depression not realizing that it doesn't mean you are "unhappy" but it could just mean your body is not producing what you need.

Also sleep apnea can definitely cause weight gain ...its a vicious cycle. Do u wake up with headaches, feel like u are in a fog?

I know this is an old thread but in case anyone was reading over it like I was. The swallowing part stood out to me. Have you had your thyroid checked?
