Thank you for posting this. I know its hard to talk to people over and over again about it. The more you bring it up to them, the more they look at you like you are crazy, and they start to get frustrated with you because they say its just "All in your head" and "You just need to NOT think about it." I just want to smack them every time they do that because they have no idea what it feels like.

This is a great place to be able to get those feelings off your chest with others that have the same issue. I just want to say, the odds are you are not going to die, but I know its frustrating. I too suffer from the exact same thing you do. Sometimes it feels like the floor is dropping.

The worst feeling I get comes when I am not thinking about anything, just out of the blue. I will be sitting at the computer and all of a sudden it feels like my heart stops beating for 2 seconds. It feels like my chest is dropping, and my breath stops. Its like my soul is being sucked out of my buddy. It is the scariest and most irritating feeling I have ever had. The problem is I never had this before college.

Are you taking any medications? For me, these problems didn't start till I started taking Adderall for my ADD. Medications and substances can cause these symptoms you and I along with all these other respondents are having.

The only thing that makes me feel better is when my diet is perfect and I am exercising at active all day. Whenever I sit and have time to think and dwell, that's when it happens.

Keep your head up Becka, you WILL get through this. IDK if you believe in God or not (it doesn't matter if you do) but just pray every day to make it go away. If not God, pray to the air, pray to a tree, or just pray to your own subconscious mind to fix the problem. I know it might sound crazy, but I do this and it helps.

I don't know who you are or where you are from, but regardless I will pray for you. My name is Tyler, and I have the same problem as you, just know that you are NOT crazy and you are NOT ALONE.

Have a good one

I know exactly what you mean. I have felt like this for over a month. My symptoms are are so bad it kills my daily activities. My body feels so sick everyday and I feel chills and then hot flashes with a low grade fever all day and I hate it . It simply is ruining my life and my doctor didn't know what was going on. Its so frustrating. But keep on pushing through it and eventually it will end.

hey your not alone I have a lot of your symptoms..cant spell either...I had a brain tumor 14 years ago taken out..the dr done great but made a tiny mistake..he damaged my pituitary gland which is the main gland in your body..it controls everything..it made my thyroid gland go crazy and grow 4 huge lumps on it..it took 2 surgeons to get it out..said it was the biggest they have ever seen..further down my adrineal glands on my kidneys are now dead..further down my u know whats don't make any testosterone...none...0%..so after trying for 14 years me and my wife will never be able to have kids..thanks to my tumor..i still have extreme headaches and o almost forgot im medically induced diabetic now and also the low T problem cause me to have p.e. or blood clots in my right lung...they were able to count 18 clots on the xray mri thingy..so now im on blood thinner the rest of my life...along with the steroid my adrenial glands don't make anymore and I have to take a thyroid med. cant remember name of it but I have to take a bunch of just replacement drugs now..getting to your problem..your brain has a thin sack that holds it in place..meninges is the name of it..its very thin and delicate..but it can get swollen and inflamed..when it does you get a numb feeling that comes over u like someone pouring water slowely right in the middle of your scalp and it just flowing down your head..i have tried to figure this out for years and my new neurologist is the one that told me about this..he said advill works great on this..but being im on blood thinner I cant take that kind of meds...n saids are what he called those meds..advill ibuprofen allieve such as that..it will make my blood very thin and I could bleed out...I no I have went around the world to tell you about this but I am just trying to get it all correct for you..all of this has disabled me at a nice young age of 37..i cant even hardly drive anymore..cant play guitar get to hot strain bend over without falling on my face if I bump my head omg im hospital bound... but check out the meninges and see if that relates to your problem..omg I just noticed your post was over a year ago..im not deleting all of this cause you may look at it again one day...hope this helps if you ever see it lololol

Just came across this site and saw that almost all have very similar symptoms ....I've had most of them too for almost 40 years. Been through dozens of tests, lots of specialist and always doubted the results. Unlike others here, I'm old ...67 years.
Here's what I've come to experience and my conclusions. The worst of it were episodes of disassociation ( this is the non reality feeling mentioned above) and major hypochondria. Thinking / believing, I had several major illnessess. Not just thinking but convinced.
I've had three major episodes over the last 40 years.
Here's what I believe...these episodes are not preventable, but can be muted by antidepressants and tranquilizers, used sparingly. They usually last for about 6 months, then slowly retract. It's an imbalance in your brain, that can be corrected.
It's very frustrating when medical people , family and friends think your ok, but your far from it. It's a disease , just like diabetes.
You have see it through, with whatever works for you and it will pass. Good luck all.

I am a 27 year old male I have had these issues since I can remember as early as 5 years old feeling and acting different than everyone else crying In school and feeling so scared to fail is what ran though my head constantly I have gone through life vengeful and angry because not being able to understand/process every day decisions anxiety , bi polar, depression you can call it whatever you want but, through my experienceive learned the best thing isn't meds or herbs drugs or booze it's redirecting your thinking patterns everytime u think something bad or negative replace it with cologne perfume room spray scented candles or if your at work a song on your iPod or tablet that brings you to a place of calm relaxation, cold glass of water I mean the list goes on only "you" know what truly works for you its just remembering that when your feeling anxious or racing thoughts that you "pause" and go im in control this is my life my thoughts my body and my feelings and im in control ! Good luck eveyone and be true to yourselves with happiness comes accepting yourself

hi i know how u feel except in 11 i think helpful items are Gatorade, taleano(cant spell the word srry),and chicken broth no noodles it makes you vomit. Don't take pills it scratches your throat and has you cough more!! For the Gatorade take small sips every 5-10 minutes it helps you not vomit. after vomiting if you do vomit before drinking Gatorade let your stomach rest for 15-20 minutes. after about an hour have very small sips of chicken broth it helps your stomach not hurt a lot. The last thing is ginger not powder the root chop it up put in a boiling pot of HOT WATER (ooh sizzle sizzle) after the tea is done don't let is disintegrate! Add sugar and water the tea down a bit and drink it that's all i got if it helps please tell me thx feel better ^-^

Your literally just having a panic attack. What it does is let's off chemicals from your brain that make you have a fear response. Most people that have them think they have a heart attack or something physically wrong with them. I recently went to the doctor because I hadn't been feeling myself lately ever since i had an episode where my heart was beating so fast and o had a weird feeling in my head like tingly and irritated but it hurt and it made me physically sick. The doctor told me I was simply having a panic attack and I suffer from an anxiety disorder but ever since I have taken my medicine I have never felt better . I recommend you go back to your doctor and explain your symptoms again. Or you could try counseling because stress is the number one cause of anxiety. I hoped this helped (:
