My 14 year old son had appendix surgery about a year ago , he is now complainin about having like a sharp pokin pain on the surgery, is this normal or should i take him to the ER

He shouldn't be having any NEW feelings since his surgery. Sometimes there can be discomfort immediately afterwards but it should have resolved.
He should see his doctor. If the pain is severe then seek emergency medical attention.
