sometimes when I take my fluxotine it sticks in my throat no matter how much water I drink. it never happens with my other 2 meds I take. dr. said I just need more water but it still didn't help. I went off my rx to see if would happen, it didn't, its only with flluxotine. I get terrible heartburn, then nausea, then throw up. then feel crappy for the rest of the day. wonder if other antidepressants do this.
Experiencing this for the first time. To summarize the various posts, most people have did not find an easy solution. Things to try:
-antacids like tums or pepto bismal
-anti inflammatory like ibuprofen
-hot liquids like tea or coffee
-jumping up and down
-stretching your chest and coughing
-swallowing liquid while lying down
-induced vomiting
You millage may vary with some people feeling better after a couple hours, days, or weeks. The best way to avoid this is taking pills during the day with food and plenty of water. Do not wait for bedtime and do not lie down right afterwards. Also talk to your doctor about your symptoms.
