I had saltine crackers for breakfast this morning with a dry throat. My throat is now killing me. I have been drinking water all day it hurts to swallow. I have had these white dots that look like saltines on the side of my throat. I have had these before and the doctor said they were food particles. What do you think these dots can be? How can I limit the pain? My throat is killing me and I have a slight cough because of my thoat. I hope you can help.
The white particles in your throat are probably tonsillitis. Food gets caught in tonsils and can cause a sore throat and bad breath. There are ways to remove them by pushing them out or the tonsils of gargling. I hope this helps.

Crackers can make anyone have trouble if you don't have a drink. There is a rash that is possible to get in your throat that is a form of thrash, a yeast infection. Esonphilic esophagitis makes it difficult to swallow and often has what looks like a yeast infection in your throat. An endoscopy can diagnose both of those. Try to take fluids and change what you eat and see if things are better. Esophilic esophagitis is caused by food allergies, so if that is even a possibility, you might want to lay off of wheat for a while and see if your symptoms resolve. Sometimes the texture and dryness of foods can give anyone problems.
