Hi,

I had a frenuloplasty a couple of years ago, however, the urologist surgeon

did not lengthen the frenulum enough for me and the head of the penis still bends down a little. I asked if another procedure would be possible but he said that I should try stretching it with creams which has proven to be unsuccessful so far. I can retract the foreskin perfectly fine but the issue is that the head of the penis still bends down as the foreskin gets retracted which is not pleasant nor aesthetically pleasing.

I have now gone to another urologist to be diagnosed and I got booked in for a second frenuloplasty which should be in a few months time.

I have also done some more in depth research lately and have come across content about complications with frenular artery tear and cutting.

As I have already had a frenuloplasty the scar tissue is now somewhat close to the artery, my concernis whether the person who diagnosed me took this into account and whether there can be an issue if it gets cut in the second procedure. I understand that they are highly qualified professionals but I am still worried, this may be a rare case but I am hoping someone has some knowledge relating to my concern. I want to have a second surgery to really fix the bending of the head of the penis or though I am worried about possible complications and risks involved.

Thank you so much!

I can't tell you much about 2d surgeries as I never had even one. However my frenulum tore by itself several times until it is now non existent. The first time it tore I let it heal on it's own and with the resultant scar tissue it was shorter than before. So it tore again and that time I put a piece of toilet paper in there to keep the ends from reattaching. It was much better after that but like yours it still pulled the head down and was uncomfortable when pulling the foreskin back. It tore again a couple more times and each time I used toilet paper to hold the ends apart. Now it's impossible to see there ever was a frenulum there and I can pull my foreskin back as far as I want with no pain or pulling.

So I would say make sure the surgeon knows you want it GONE completely. There's nothing finer than being able to pull your foreskin all the way back.
