I had problems with my stomach so I went to my doctor. He told me that I have gallstones and that I need to remove them. I would like to know more about this procedure. I also want to say that I feel dizziness most of the time. Is it possible that it is caused by my gallbladder disfunction?
Hello,
I have the same pain everyone is talking about and I have the dizziness too. Vp
My 10 year old daughter has spherocytosis which is a form of anemia and this causes gallstones. She was having extreme pain in her upper right side and they did an ultrasound and was diagnosed with gallstones. She was told that she needed it removed. The pain subsided but then she woke up with extreme headaches and dizziness that wouldn't go away. She has been through numerous tests and everything is normal but nothing will take the pain away. All of the specialist said that it is not related. But, I believe it is. ***this post is edited by moderator *** *** web addresses not allowed***

I spoke with a doctor of Chinese medicine and she confirmed the direct relation of headaches/dizziness and gallstones.
I highly recommend talking with an alternative doctor practicing Chinese medicine.

Im having the same issues...going on for 3 years now...I have ran out of my savings and can no longer afford heath care..and all they did is do test after test after test and never found anything...it's just a money racket. gallbladder disese runs in my family and I know thats what is going on with me..my mother suffered for years with the same symtoms too and they couldnt find anything , so they say..then finally she had a colon test done and had some polups removed then she got really sick went in the hospital and they realized her gallblader was badly infected so they took it out..well it was kinda to late because it had posioned her system already and she died a few days after they removed it..they said it was lake mush...so why didnt they detect it all the other times? thats what I want to know..
Its awful to go through all of this discomfort....

The symptoms you have may indicate gallbladder infection... there are homeopathic preparations you might like to read about, Chelidonium Majus, Berberis Vulgaris and China Officinalis. Ifection can be very dangerous and life threatening so you need to treat it as soon as possible.

I don't know if this is helpful but i'm also experiencing the dizziness.
Over the last 2 years I've suffered from mega "heartburny/panic" attacks and was diagnosed with all sorts from anxiety, depression to stress and chronic acid reflux. After a couple of years of pushing and repeated visits after LOTS of time off work I have been finally diagnosed with Gallstones (a small "collection" I was told!) and the pain i was experiencing was biliary colic. Finally glad that there was something physically wrong as I didn't feel stress and my work began to think I was unable to cope mentally with my job (I am a teacher).
I was referred to a surgeon on the 6th feb 2013 but so far have heard absolute squat. The pain and sickness and dizziness has just been getting worse and worse and I've been back to my GP 3 times since the referral. I kept being told just to wait for a consultation letter. I was told to cope with paracetamol and ibruprofen only but they didn't do anything during an attack. They then gave me tramadol. I have since found out I am allergic to tramadol and have had to stop taking it.
I then started suffering really badly from the nausea and have been unable to work since last week. I went to A&E last night after 4 days of constant nausea and extreme dizziness and being unable to move for fear of vomiting but they just gave me an antisickness tablet and told me just to wait for an appointment to come through. I had no infection or anything they could see so couldn't admit me. I read on the NHS website it could be a wait of up to 18 weeks! There is no way in hell i can survive like this for 18 weeks!!
Does anyone else have this extreme nausea and dizziness with just gallstones? I have never felt so sick in my whole life!

I have been having the same stomach problems and have been told that I have a slow functioning gallbladder, but not bad enough to remove. I have been on nexim for over 3 years and now I have been stricken with constant vertigo for the past year and nothing is helping. It appears the vertigo begins once I put something into my stomach and last all day. Doctors tell me its just BPPV, yet I get no relief from exercises. Can you please send me the information on the Dr. you saw. Thank you Rose

I too had these symptoms. In the end it took a highly competent Chinese Medicine Practitioner to diagnose an excess of flem in my bodily system. This had resulted from a very nasty bacterial infection months ago - although the antibiotics had rid my body of the physical effects of the flem - it had gone on to effect my liver and gallbaldder and also casue congestion in this area.
