Wow, I thought I was the only person to go through this. I'm so tired of being dizzy and feeling like c**p. Told me panic attacks as well and nothing is helping. Mostly feel like this after I eat.

I have been misdiagnosed for years. My symptoms were pain front and centre, just below the sternum; stomach bloating; nausea; dizziness. I am significantly overweight (BMI around 45) and even though I was telling the doctors every time about some aspects of the symptoms (such as apparently unconnected with any food; not touched by indigestion medication - chalky, alginate or acid reduction; never even had indigestion until about 3 years ago - i am 45 now) they were convinced I was suffering indigestion. Eventually I kicked up such a fuss that they referred me for more tests... these consisted of countless ECGs, stool sample for pyloric bacteria, endoscopy for stomach polyps, chest x-ray for something i can't remember, and even a coronary angiogram... basically everything except the ultrasound that would have found the problem. I don't quite understand the reluctance of the medical profession to diagnose gallstones and test for it - I had symptoms that were better fitting with gallstones than any other thing they tested for and in the end I had to self-diagnose and persuade the doctor to make the referral. I live in the UK though so things may be different elsewhere :)

Hidascan's aren't useless. It was a hidascan that revealed my biliary dyskinesia so we could schedule the removal of my gallbladder.
