The major criterion for gallbladder removal is if ejection rate is below 30 percent and that is obviously the case here. Basically, that means that bile is collecting inside gallbladder instead of it being forwarded further to aid digestion and most common cause for this to happen is because of the gallstones. But your doctor probably checked for those? If I was in your place, I'd get a second opinion - there is something obviously wrong and you not secreting enough bile will cause you even more problems with digestion - you can't digest proteins and fats without it.

I have the same dilemma. Mine is 20% but I’ve had 3 opinions and they all said to take it out, but it’s really up to me of I want to go through with it. I’m worried that my pains won’t go away if I take it out. But there’s also an unknown chance that I will feel much better if I remove it. My surgeon said his mother in law was 80 years old with a 0% and she lived with it. Basically it’s up to you. This is a very weird situation because I obviously don’t want to have surgery if I don’t need to, but having the chance that it’ll make me feel better is very persuasive.
