After reading al the terrible stories about the missery after gallbladder removal, i would like to write my story down because it can have a happy ending too!
Mine was taken out on 2 March 2009. The first week was painfull, especially around the belly button and where the drain had been. I drank lots of water, was very carefull with food, ate little bits at a time, lots of fruit, rye bread.
No diarrhea, in fact i had to take to sennakot tablets to go to the toilet!! Now i'm almost 2 weeks further and have normal stools, no vomiting or nausea, no fullness because i eat less (was somewhat overweight anyway and had to lose a few kilos!), no acid reflux, no burning.
I did rest a lot, slept a lot and don't lift anything.
I think i have been very fortunate and hope it will stay still way.
