I recently was diagnosed with polyps, but was wondering if they could actually be stones (which I could try flushing). I dont want to go through the flushing process if the polyps will not move since they are attached to the lining of the gallbladder.

I thought I read somewhere that an untrasound does not provide clear proof of polyps vs. stones but can really only detect that some type of mass is present. Does anyone have any advice on this subject. The largest "polyp" measures 4mm.

I am not prone to talk about this, at all. I mean, no one should be sure when he or she is telling you what are the differences and what you should do. Anyway, those gallbladder polyps always can cause a risk factor, and that risk factor is anything that affects your chance of getting a disease such as cancer. I had problems with it and I found out about this when it was pretty much late. Thank God, I am fine now, but you should be aware that Different cancers have different risk factors. Some risk factors, like smoking, can be changed. On the other hand, some factors such as a person’s age or family history, can’t be changed.
