I had my circumcision 7 days ago, and I am 43 years old. Due to phimosis, thrush, and scarred foreskin, as well as pressure from my wife, I underwent the procedure. The thrush caused the phimosis, which caused the scarred foreskin from the rare sex (wife refused due to fear of the thrush, despite condom usage), & masturbating as a result. Because of the phimosis, it was almost impossible to wash my penis well, making the thrush worse. Then, the thrush would leak at now gut onto the foreskin & dry up - worsening the phimosis. Tired of this cycle & basically a sexless marriage, and trying creams, treatments, stretching exercises & devices that lasted almost 2 years, I was tired of it. The glans sensitivity is not so bad. What is worse is the stitches rubbing against the glans, & the thrush that is still present (though not as much), which I find on my stitched skin. Needless to say, cleaning that area is painful & the thrush does irritate the healing wound during the night. I find that stretching the skin down to move the stitches away from the glans, then covering up the stiches with gauze & holding it together with tape is a relief. This helps not only the glans from getting poked by the stitches, but also keeps the penis dry, so the thrush has nowhere to go - especially towards the wound. The gauze & tape sock does cause a little bleeding, but at least I can now sleep, walk & go to work.

Sounds like they cut you really close to your glans. I think it should have been further down the shaft or didn't they ask you how you wanted it
