If you period were due today, and you have had unprotected sex 13 to 28 Feb, then there is a good chance you could be pregnant, but it maybe that your period is going to be late.

Excuse me, can somebody help me please?
I had unprotected sex with my Boyfriend, a week before my period, i usually have 31 day cycle im expecting to receive my period on february 24 but it came late on the night of February 25 can someone please tell me if im pregnant? My last period last 5 days as usual, but im still worried, can someone answer my question please?

It is highly unlikely you are pregnant. A week before your period arrived would not likely have been a fertile day, your period arrived reasonably on time, and it was a normal period.
Remember that even with regular cycles, variations can sometimes occur. A day or two either side is not unusual, but sometimes personal circumstances can cause delays.
Whenever you have sex, especially unprotected, there is a risk of pregnancy. So take care.

Thank you so much, im just worried and a little bit Stressed because of schoolworks, maybe thats also the cause of having a mood swings and fatigue on me, im experiencing that sometimes, do you still think its normal? Thankyou so much.

Stress does affect your moods. Stress causes a surge of hormones in your body. So it may be quite 'normal' in that respect but without more personal details it is difficult to be more precise. However from the little you have said there does not seem to be much to cause great concern.

Hi doctor im joslyn, i usually have a 26cycle of 3-4days, my last period was on 20th to 23rd feb My bf and i had unprotected sex on 9th,10th,11and 12th march. He c_m inside me fully. In expected to get my nxt period on 17th march. Im 20yrs btw, is there a possibility of pregnancy?

Hi Joslyn I am not actually a doctor, but the chances are that 9th - 12th March were not fertile days. Based on a 26-day cycle, you likely ovulated on 3rd March, so your fertile days were likely 27th February to 3rd March. Therefore you are not likely to be pregnant.

However, the possibility is there, even if it is low. For instance, if you ovulated a week late this cycle, then 9th - 10th March could have been a fertile time.

Whenever you have sex, especially unprotected, there is the possibility of pregnancy following. Nevertheless, I think that possibility to be unlikely, and would expect your period to arrive on time.

I hope this helps.

Hello I was looking to maybe get an opinion:

My last period start date was February 15. My cycle is on average 28 days. I was expecting my period on March 14, and when I did not get it, took a test and discovered that I was pregnant.

On February 29 and March 1, I had protected sex with a former partner. As far as I know, there were no problems with the condom. On March 7, I had sex with a new partner, once protected, and once partially unprotected (he did not finish, inside me or at all).

I am just looking to see when it is more likely that conception occurred.

Hi Joslyn, Did your periods come?

Hi Erica

If your cycle this 'month' were to be 25 days, you wouldn't expect your period to start until 18 March (today); if 26 days, then 19th (tomorrow). So you're not late yet. Furthermore, a cycle of 25/26 days would mean that 7 March would not likely have been a fertile day.

However if your cycle were to be 28 days this time, then 7 March could be the day you ovulated, and the chance of pregnancy following is very high, but you should not then expect your period to be due until 21st (Monday).

If your period has not arrived by 22nd, then consider taking a test.

I hope this helps.

Hi Rkm9872

With a cycle of around 28 days, then 7 March was unlikely to have been a fertile day. Ovulation is likely to have occurred about 29 March, so that is the likely time of fertilisation, especially if you took the test soon after 14 March.

You didn't say what other sexual activity took place, but sperm can be introduced to the vagina manually as well as by intercourse. Also, pre-cum can contain sperm.

I hope this helps
