i have been on methadone for 2 years. 150 mg everyday. and it has taken me two years to come down to 110. i want off it faster than this can anyone give me some kind of advice of what i can do. i started my addiction on oc. never did heroin. i have a full time management job and no one knows that i am on methadone. i have three children and cant go through bad withdrawls because of them and work. if anyone has came off methadone cold turkey or has anything that can help me it would be greatly appreciated. thank you
Hi there, I wouldn't recommend coming off methadone cold turkey. You definitely need to taper off it first because it can cause some serious issues. Withdrawals are going to be difficult no matter what so you need to deal with symptom management. Have you talked to a physician? I'd recommend it. what do you think?
