Hi everyone. I have has H pylori for over a year now and my mother has had it for about 2 years now. We both have been on the antibiotics, myself once and my mother 3 times and we still can not get rid of it. My mothers isen't as bad as it use to be but mine seems to be getting worse. I have headaches just about everyday from it,horrible chest pains, also lightheaded and dizziness. Also for about 2 weeks now i have noticed my left arm hurts alot and its kinda went to my left shoulder blame. Just would like to find out what people are taking that is curing them from this or even to talk to anyone that maybe experiencing the same symptoms cause i do think i am having a heart attack sometimes and so i have panic attacks with it as well. Thanks so much and God Bless.
Hello crissy,
Helicobacter pylori infection can be very hard to treat - usually first are given two antibiotics at the same time, in combination with antacid medication, but the reason why they give you two antibiotics at the start is because H. pylori can become resistant to the antibiotics fairly quickly. That's also why you should go for a new testing and a second round of antibiotics. Also, temporarily you can get at least some help with your symptoms by using antacids such as ranitidine or protonix,
Wish you all the best,
Nicole
